Just a friendly reminder for some of you guys going through it...
It is possible for people to be inconsiderate and angry assholes... sometimes sparked by health issues and hormonal changes... and it has nothing to do with their partner.

What every guy with a wife going through perimenopause wants to know. "So... like... when does this stop? What then? Is this just... life... from now on?" What have you guys experienced? HRT? Counseling? Grey divorce?

I hear from men whose wives cheated, and a friend of hers almost always knew. You don’t rat out your friends. Normally I respect that. But that friend will tell you “it wasn’t my secret to tell,” after watching you book a family vacation. You’re not crazy for seeing her differently. Decide what that friendship is and say so.

Who is more likely to be open to reconciliation after infidelity... a man or woman?

These same women after taking testosterone: "Oooooh... now I get it."
I don’t believe most men are actually as horny as they claim, rather they are addicted to the ego validation/control that sexual access represents just as a woman who frequently posts half naked pictures of herself isn’t usually advertising that she’s wanting to have sex but is instead looking for validation that she is sexually desirable

I’ve talked about dead bedrooms for over a decade, and one of the biggest things I’ve figured out is simple. A lot of dead bedrooms come from a gap that was there on day one. Two people with very different wiring got married and hoped it would even out. It doesn’t even out. Pick someone on your side of the fence.

Guys, the “she’s just like one of the guys” girlfriend is a trap for a lot of you. Low drama, easy to be around, never makes things weird. Those are great traits in a buddy. A lot of men married their best buddy and found out ten years later she never wanted to be touched.

The higher desire partner in a marriage is usually the man. Usually, not always. Plenty of women married a man who lost interest after the wedding, and they feel just as rejected as the guys who email me. This was never men against women. It’s sexual people against vanilla people.

Vanilla people don’t stay on their side of the fence. Post anything about how common dead bedrooms are in long marriages and they show up fast. You’re a deviant. Marriage is more than sex. Set that aside once you have kids. Wanting sex with your own wife is not a disorder.

Being low desire is fine. Being low desire and telling your high desire spouse he’s broken is the problem. If you don’t want much sex, that’s who you are. But the person you married made his choice based on who you seemed to be back then. He gets a say too.
