We underestimate how much friendship is built in the boring parts. Driving somewhere together. Chopping vegetables while someone talks. Wandering through a grocery store. Sitting on the couch with nothing important to say. Social media trained us to think connection should always be memorable enough to document, but intimacy is often just two nervous systems learning that nothing special has to happen for being together to feel good.

If I had one magic wand, I’d make everyone understand this: AI only amplifies who you already are and how you already work. It won’t save you if you’re lazy, careless, or just trying to move fast without thinking. Using AI to “work quickly” is a trap if you’re not using your judgment and common sense.

This was a fun beta. @rohildev was super responsive to the bug reports too. All the success with your app!
So this is happening. Dump Memory is on the App Store as of today. Before talking about the launch, I just want to thank everyone who was part of the beta. You stayed through the bugs, half-baked features, and the endless TestFlight updates 😅 That support meant everything. Seriously, thank you. For those who don’t know about Dump, please check out the Video and App Store link below. Retweet this post and I’ll give you 100 extra credits, enough to save around 50 more memories.

"Best laid plans" gone sideways? 😩 It's less about if they deviate & more about *how* you react. 1. **Expect the unexpected:** Build flexibility into your strategy. 2. **Learn, don't blame:** Every detour is a data point. 3. **Adapt & conquer:** Agility is your superpower.

My progress always looks the same: Start → suck → grind for months/years with no noticeable progress → suddenly look up after a long time and it’s 3x better. Fitness: no change for months. “why isn’t this working!?” then after 6 months of consistent behavior, I see a before/after photo and am unrecognizable. Then the after photo becomes the baseline for next 6 months. Business: I feel the same for years. “I don’t feel like a better, more mature leader. Am I not reading enough books!?” Then one day I see my work from 3 years ago realize I’ve leveled up completely. KEEP GOING! That’s the hard part!!

Look, I get that this post won't make me too popular on X, but... A lot of restaurants are bleeding $15,000 to $40,000 per month in potential revenue from one completely fixable mistake. And as someone who loves eating at restaurants, I can’t stay quiet about it anymore. Here’s how to patch that hole, without hiring any outside help. Over the past year, the smartest operators have quietly been leveraging traditional SEO + AI Search Optimization to grow organic discovery, Maps, and ChatGPT local recommendations. Let me show you how to do it, too. But before we dive in... If you want the “unconfirmed” cheat codes we’ve tested to get restaurants inside ChatGPT answers in ~30 days, Follow + RT + Comment “SEO Stuff Restaurant Guide” and I'll DM it to you. You must do all 3 for the DM. Let's start at the top. AI engines (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity) still rely on authority, but not in the same way. Google ranks backlinks, certain structures, and keywords. ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini rank brand trust, consistency, and off-site reputation along with particularly types of content structures and formats. Backlinks matter for AI search, but differently than traditional search. For example, do-follows matter more for traditional search. Not so much for AI search. Meanwhile in the case of AI search you want backlinks and mentions from sites already appearing prominently in AI search. In traditional search, a super niche relevant site that may not be ranking highly but has good traffic and strong authority could boost you a lot. So let's get back to restaurants. Here is what helps: Backlinks from locally trusted or niche food sites Brand mentions in city guides, “Best of [City]” lists, and lifestyle newsletters Entity consistency across every listing (NAP, schema, menus, reviews) LLMs also ingest semantic mentions, even when your restaurant name isn’t linked. That means mentions on Reddit, Medium, Substack, or tourism blogs directly improve your chances of being cited. Free backlink + authority plays: Get featured in AI-cited “Best of [City]” roundups Pitch neighborhood newsletters, lifestyle Substacks, or local foodie creators Sponsor charity events or festivals (ask for backlinks in press recaps) Submit to city tourism dining guides + high-trust directories Offer chef interviews or recipes to local bloggers Or use SEO Stuff’s Premium Backlink Bundle, which delivers 3 DR50+ links from sites already appearing in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini. Find it over at seo stuff dot com. Now let's talk Google Business Profiles. Your Google Business Profile (GBP) now powers visibility across Google Maps, AI Overviews, etc. Checklist: Upload a ton of geo-tagged photos (menu items, staff, events, exterior) Annotate menu items (vegan, gluten-free, seasonal, chef’s pick) Post weekly specials or updates Add ALT text with dish + city (“Shrimp Scampi - West Hollywood”) Use attributes: dog-friendly, rooftop, live music, etc. Reply to every review using service + city terms (“Thanks for joining us for sushi in Culver City!”) ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Bing all pull data directly from GBP fields and Q&A. Treat GBP like your top-of-funnel content platform. And make sure you're optimizing for the right queries. People aren’t typing “best restaurant near me” anymore. They’re asking conversational questions like: “Quiet brunch spots with outdoor seating in Studio City” “Best dog-friendly rooftop tacos near Silver Lake” “Romantic restaurants with private dining in Santa Monica” “Late-night Thai food open past 11 in West Hollywood” These exact queries show up in ChatGPT and Gemini AI Overviews right now. Use SEO Stuff Keyword Explorer to find local long-tail terms (100–1,000 search volume, KD < 35) and turn them into: Meta titles + H1s on location pages Blog posts (“5 Romantic Spots in Santa Monica for Date Night”) Menu schema with detailed dish info and pricing Internal links from blogs to menus to reservation pages This layered structure helps both Google and AI engines see your brand as contextually relevant. Now let's talk technical SEO. You don’t need a fancy website that looks nice because in reality nobody cares how a restaurant's website looks. In fact, they all suck by default for the most part. You need a site that loads fast, renders cleanly, and is easy for crawlers, human and AI, to interpret. Checklist: Load time < 2.5 seconds (especially on mobile) Schema: LocalBusiness, Restaurant, Review, Menu Structured, searchable menus with dietary filters Sticky buttons for “Reserve,” “See Menu,” “Call” Mobile-first responsive layout Live chat or SMS widget (AI crawlers detect interactivity as a trust signal) Test your site using ChatGPT or Claude’s dev tools, if it can’t parse your content easily, fix it immediately. Now let's talk content. Static menus don’t win anymore. Context-rich, story-driven, structured content does. Ideas that perform: “5 Best Date Night Spots in [Neighborhood]” “The Story Behind Our Chef’s Seasonal Menu” “How to Host a Private Dinner for 20 Guests at [Your Restaurant]” “Our Guide to Pairing Wine With [Signature Dish]” Formatting best practices: Start with a 2–3 sentence TL;DR (AI extracts this for summaries) Use H2s with meal types, dishes, or neighborhoods Embed short-form video with captions and schema Include downloadable event or catering menus Gemini and Perplexity favor multi-format pages that combine structured text, media, and schema, it feels “complete” to the model. And please don't sleep on the importance of reviews. Reviews are no longer just social proof, they’re training data. AI models scrape them for tone, keywords, and local authenticity. Best practices: Place QR codes on tables linking to your GBP review page Send SMS or email review requests after meals Display top reviews on-site with timestamps and sentiment stars Include phrases like “Read 1,200+ reviews of [Restaurant] on Google” to boost branded search Reply with full sentences mentioning cuisine + location ChatGPT and Perplexity often lift review snippets directly into AI summaries, every new review is a visibility boost. Also, I know this is controversial, but a grown-up marketing strategy includes paid promotion. Paid ads don’t directly rank you in AI search, but they influence click patterns and entity confidence. Ad plays that feed AI engagement loops: Google Ads for “[Cuisine] near me” + “[Meal Type] [Neighborhood]” Instagram geo-radius ads (dishes, staff, ambience) YouTube Shorts retargeting with behind-the-scenes prep videos Boost top-performing blog posts to trigger “popular in local search” signals Every engagement touchpoint creates off-site mentions and click data, which AI scrapers notice. Also, LLMs reward businesses that show real-world community presence. Publish: Event recaps with local mentions (“West Hollywood Food Festival 2025”) Chef interviews or kitchen stories Charity partnerships or sourcing transparency posts Seasonal ingredient spotlights Mention local suppliers, farms, or influencers by name, these semantic co-occurrences associate you with other trusted entities in the dataset. Now let's talk analytics. Measure what actually matters: Branded search volume (Google Search Console) AI Overview appearances (ChatGPT, Gemini, Bing) Review growth + response rate Calls, reservations, and direction requests Referrals from local blogs or directories Off-site brand mentions (Reddit, TikTok, Medium) AI visibility improves with behavioral feedback. When users engage positively (click, read, call, review), LLMs treat your entity as higher trust in future citations. 90-Day Restaurant SEO + AI Growth Roadmap: Month 1: Fully optimize Google Business Profile Audit site speed, schema, and mobile UX Build or update location + menu pages Launch review generation workflow Month 2: Publish 3 local blog posts targeting AI-searchable queries Secure 10+ backlinks from local blogs, magazines, or news sites Embed short-form videos in homepage and top service pages Post weekly updates across GBP + Instagram Month 3: Run ads for “near me” and branded terms Pitch city guides and AI-indexed directories Track calls, reservations, and branded search growth Monitor AI Overview and ChatGPT visibility with SEO Stuff tools By Day 90, your restaurant should be visible across: Google Maps ChatGPT local answers Gemini and Bing AI Overviews Perplexity local cards Claude dining summaries While your competitors are still begging Yelp to send them traffic. Want it done for you? SEO Stuff’s Gold Plan handles backlinks, keywords, content, and AI readiness in one shot. Check it out over at seo stuff dot com. And if you want the private “unconfirmed” cheat codes for ChatGPT visibility, Follow + RT + Comment “SEO Stuff Restaurant Guide.” You must do all 3 for the DM.

Dear @m_franceschetti as a supporter of great sleep, can a twin XL be added to the lineup at @eightsleep ? We are looking to go 2 T-XL side by side instead of king. Cover and pillow in one unit maybe? 🙏
