A passion project that started when I was rotating on psych! 🎉
Our study highlights the close bidirectional relationship of psychiatry and dermatology. Screening for depression (PHQ-2/9) and anxiety (GAD-7) can be done through intake forms, even in a fast-paced clinic! 🏥
JAAD Review’s most recent publication! Our review found that conditions like acne can have upto a 37% prevalence of anxiety, with a 25% prevalence of depression amongst patients with Vitiligo. Check out our manuscript for more info on this important topic: jaadreviews.org/article/S295…

A mother and daughter duo, who migrated from Puerto Rico. I remember when taking these photos that I made a promise to them to bring awareness to this syndrome as it increases one’s risk of developing HCC. Unfortunately, the mother had metastatic HCC unresponsive to therapy.

Letter from the first patient that I enrolled in our scalp cooling trial (covered the name for privacy). I am in tears, it has been a pleasure being in the lives of these patients. Cancer is tough, but these women are tougher and I aspire to have their grit and perseverance!
