🚨💔Breaking: María de Miguel, wife of the late Jesús de Miguel, has released her second emotional statement following the tragic death of her husband during the match between FC Andorra and CD Tenerife. 😭
“I cannot forgive Owono. I believe he did it deliberately. Was my husband the football he came to play? Every minute, I keep thinking he will walk back through that door, hold me the way he used to and call me by the sweet pet names he always used. Does this mean I will never see my husband again? I cannot believe this has happened to me. God, please, bring my husband back to me.
I still cannot believe this is happening. Someone, please wake me up and tell me this is all just a terrible dream. Jesús, what happened to all the promises you made to me? What happened to the beautiful world you promised we would build together? How could you leave me all alone in this cruel world? How am I supposed to survive without you?
Our daughter, Carla Jesús de Miguel, has only just celebrated her first birthday, and she is still waiting for her daddy. Why would you leave her so soon? Why would you leave our innocent little girl to grow up without her father’s love, warmth and embrace at just one year old? 💔😭 Someone, please tap me and wake me up. I cannot accept that this is real.
Jesús Owono, what did my husband ever do to deserve this? Did he deserve to die this way? You have taken the love of my life away from me. Are you happy now? 😭😭 How am I supposed to cope without the man I have loved since I was a teenager? He was my first love, my first everything, the man I grew up loving and the man I believed I would spend the rest of my life with. How can someone who meant the whole world to me suddenly become nothing but a memory?
Jesús, we had a lifetime of dreams ahead of us. You promised me forever, but forever has been cruelly taken away from us. We were supposed to grow old together, watch Carla grow into a beautiful woman, celebrate countless birthdays and create beautiful memories as a family. You were supposed to hold her hand, guide her through life and be there for every important milestone. Why has fate taken you away before you could fulfil all those dreams?
I don’t know how to live with this pain. I don’t know where to find the strength to carry on, especially knowing that our daughter will grow up asking questions about the father she barely had time to know. A part of me died the moment I lost you. I can only pray that I somehow find the strength to stay strong for Carla, even when my heart is completely shattered.
Someone, please wake me up. I don’t want to believe that my first love, my husband and the father of my child is gone forever. Jesús, I don’t want a lifetime of memories. I just want you back. 😭💔”

I fully understand why María, the wife of the late Jesús de Miguel, would want Jesús Owono to be punished or even sent to prison following the tragic death of her husband. I understand her pain, anger and frustration, and I believe her feelings deserve to be respected. However, putting emotions and racism aside, I genuinely do not believe Owono deserves to be sent to prison simply because of what happened.
Similar incidents have happened numerous times in football. Manuel Neuer and several other goalkeepers have been involved in dangerous collisions with opposing players, including incidents on football’s biggest stage, the UEFA Champions League. Unfortunately, in Owono’s case, the incident ended in a tragic loss of life. That does not automatically make him a murderer or mean that he intended to kill anyone. He may simply have been an unfortunate goalkeeper involved in a terrible accident.
I believe appropriate disciplinary action should be considered if his actions are found to have breached the rules, but that is different from demanding imprisonment. The circumstances, his intentions and whether there was any criminal negligence must all be carefully examined before reaching a conclusion.
Under Spanish law and the Spanish Constitution, could Jesús Owono face criminal consequences for his actions? Could he actually be charged with murder, or are there legal provisions that distinguish an accidental football collision from a criminal offence? Does football’s legal framework offer any protection against imprisonment in circumstances like this?
Justice should be served, but it must be based on evidence and the law, not emotions, public pressure or racism.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
María de Miguel has not released this statement. CD Tenerife stated the family thanks supporters and requests maximum respect for their privacy. The death resulted from accidental thoracic trauma with no intent found.

Most websites highlight the innovation in combat and how intense it is and refreshing
The story doesn’t seem to be the biggest highlight for some while others liked it but the fun comes from the gameplay and the world built here
The deep combat and large set of weapons and combos along with boss battles is done really well here

Despite being not a good film, I have to give it to her, she was hot in the film. I can see her as Chun Li but not in a movie directed by the guy who gave us #StreetFighter 2026.
Big fan of the man. All thr way for #JohnnyDepp to make it big at the box office

#Whalefall had a lot of tension and suspense with some brilliant acting performances by the lead. Even the use of Austin Abram's hearing back his father's advice inside the whale was handled well. It's great film that deserves a chance on the big screen. 4.5/5 stars
#Digger was a good film that didn't deserve the flop or hate. The excessive dialogue may a turn-off to some, but this is by far #TomCruise's best performance in a rare film such as this. Splendid supporting cast and impressive cinematography w creative choice of sounds. 4/5 star
#StreetFighter wasnt good. One would think being in the hand of a Japanese director would make this a this a good film but it's not. Choppy fight scenes. Distracting music. Some key characters didnt fight. I rather get hit by a hadouken than watching this movie again. 1/5 stars
Marketing gone to the next level! Creativity at its best. This is awesome for the movie promotion #Crawlers
This is one heck of a poster. Love the film but this poster is a gem!

Tonight’s ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK and ESCAPE FROM LA Q&A was at its best when it was just two pals John Carpenter & Kurt Russell talking to each other about when they 1st met, Snake Plissken, Russell being jock & what they mean to each other.
Tonight’s double feature is a MAJOR one: At the @AcademyMuseum for screenings of Escape From New York and Escape From LA + a Q&A with John Carpenter & Kurt Russell.
#Verity saved by 2 lovely beauties with top acting & attraction on screen. Dakota in red dress is just something that would stick in memory when you leave the theater. Other than that, I find this movie an OK movie, with some suspense. could have worked better in 90 mins. 3/5
