I'm tired of non-stop doomerism and 'the world is about to end!' stuff in traditional media and social media.
My entire life, people have been saying the world is about to end. From 'global warming' to 'the millennium bug' to '2012' to 'climate emergency' to 'deadly global pandemic' to 'nuclear war' to every election being 'existential' to 'AI will kill us all!'
If you actually believe this, your #1 priority should be getting right with God.
If you don't believe this, your #1 priority should be getting right with God.
If the world is REALLY about to end, your social media posts won't prevent it or save anybody.

My biggest concern is that if there is a clean sweep by Democrats of the House, Senate and Presidency in 2028, they will:
1. Make DC and Puerto Rico states to gain a strong majority in the Senate.
2. Open the borders and legalize everyone living in America illegally to cement a permanent majority.
3. Increase the size of the Supreme Court to gain an immediate majority.
This would result in America becoming a permanent one-party state and the end of democracy in any meaningful sense of the word.
All that is needed to ensure this doesn’t happen is 51 Republican senators in 2029. That is why you should vote for Republican senators this election. Other reasons are irrelevant compared to this one.
If I was an aspiring, young game designer, I would absolutely jump on this!

Friendly reminder that you can just brute force life to get whatever you want.
The only barrier between you and whatever you want is just fucking grinding it out.
If you want a dream job/client, just DM, email and meet IRL with people IRL until you get it... if it takes a year and 1000 tries, so what?
Maybe you'll get lucky, and it will happen more easily and faster than that.
But if you just assume you'll have to do everything the hard way, that actually makes things easier, because you know it's just a matter of putting in the work until you eventually get there.
You can have literally anything if you're willing to just keep grinding until you get it and never accept defeat or take no for an answer.

I genuinely think slop is a 100% valid form of art, or at least design.
- Since it's by definition super high volume, it's EXTREMELY competitive and only the "best" slop survives
- The details are actually extremely hard to pull off
Can your slop stop the scroll in 1.5 seconds Anyone who's tried that can tell you it's really, really hard.
- There's also an avant garde version that's essentially a post-modern commentary on itself, very similar to what Dada did 120 years ago with Duchamp's urinal piece
Eg, chicagosanitation on IG - I'd argue that's pretty sophisticated art wrapped in the appearance of a retard, like dril in the 2010s
Obviously, there's a lot of it that actually is just True Slop but if you stop there, you're missing out on all the interesting stuff.

Metallica frontman James Hetfield took a swipe at artists who use their concerts to lecture audiences about politics during the band's Las Vegas residency.
In what could easily be seen as a dig at the likes of Macklemore, Hetfield told the crowd:
"Unless you live in Vegas, you've come a long way to spend some time with Metallica. We're grateful for that. Your travels, the money you spend, the time it took, thanks for coming to celebrate with us.
And I just gotta say, Metallica is not here, like some other entertainers, to influence you with their bullshit. We are here to forget about all the outside shit. Metallica's agenda is love, energy and heavy music, baby!"
Hetfield has rarely spoken openly about his politics, but past interviews suggest he holds many conservative values.
On Joe Rogan's podcast in 2016, he explained how he'd moved his family away from the San Francisco Bay Area, having grown tired of what he saw as its political intolerance and elitism.
