Sunset practice on my Academy at Costa Navarino.

Great to be back out at Costa Navarino and spend time at my Academy. Without doubt one of the best Short Game Areas in the world.

Small changes, big result!

You won’t always find the perfect lies on the golf course. When that happens, you might want to learn this shot… youtu.be/3lrgJS0upU4

I’ve taken thousands of photos of the Tavistock Short Game Area @WoburnGC and this one I took today might be my favourite!

It’s so important to be able to generate both height and spin from a bunker. With only one or the other, it’s impossible to get the ball close to the pin and increase our chances of saving par. Here’s a video of Rick Shiels making a few small changes to drastically improve both!

If you’ve ever hit a chip shot that rolls out too much or too little, the issue might be as simple as having the wrong club in your hand. In this video, I explain how to select the right club every time, in just 10 minutes! youtu.be/JoN8AnBihC8?si=avJf…

BUNKER SHOT MASTERY Here we have 1991 Masters champion Ian Woosnam playing bunker shots with an 8 iron! This is actually great practice for everyone who wants to generate more height and spin! To play this shot, you need to: 1️⃣ Stand farther from the ball 2️⃣ Squat downwards and lower the hands 3️⃣ Release the club a lot through impact (Release 3!)

Sometimes, it’s the smaller changes that we make as golf coaches that have the biggest impact.

I recently gave tour professional Tom Lewis a short game lesson. Coaching these players is great, the speed at which they can adjust and change ball flights and spin rates is incredible! You can watch the full video below. youtu.be/5InVOTHKmPg?si=B2rQ…

Brilliant day at The Grove raising money for the John Terry Foundation. Course was amazing and raised a lot of cash for such an incredible charity which really makes a difference.

The sun has set on an amazing Captain-Pro Challenge season @WoburnGC. Congratulations to Captain Nick Wilson on a brilliant and special year with the club’s 50th Anniversary. We played some good golf between us and had a decent record. Thanks to everyone who took us on and the kind donations to Nick’s charity.
