In today’s episode of “Spending way to much time and money on a stupid idea”, I proudly present you my PoE-powered can of spam.

Can we please all agree that reenacting this part of Terminator is enough and we skip the part with the nuclear armageddon?

TIL the hard way that the build plate isn’t just for decoration. I ruined my heated bed surface with a remote print. 😐
Before anyone asks: the print actually turned out surprisingly well.
@anycubic3dprint, does your warranty cover stupidity?
Nearing the halfway point on day 12, my experiment hit a rough patch.
Once again, I hadn’t made time for it during the day, leaving me with another late-night session. I stopped after 20 minutes because compromising sleep didn’t seem like a smart trade-off.
I’ve noticed that these sessions leave me feeling wired afterwards. At the end of the day, that’s simply a poor allocation of energy.
Also, after initially dropping by about 30% last week, my screen time has climbed right back to its previous level.
According to my Garmin, I will end up burning 5000 calories today. That means it’s totally legitimate to scoop caramel peanut butter straight out of the jar, right? RIGHT?!?
Every time Claude passive-aggressively opens with "This is a bigger design change…", I worry that I just moved up a few spots on the Great Purge list.
Quick question: does the right to be forgotten under GDPR cover kill lists?
Day 3. An unexpected obstacle appeared: the weekend, with family plans that didn’t account for me sitting still for an hour.
So here I am at 1:11 a.m., after staring at a dimly lit door for an hour.
The sounds of children playing in a nearby playground became a welcome distraction.
Then a heavy drowsiness fell over me.
For a while, simply keeping my eyes open felt like the main challenge.
One minute before the end, the kitchen timer beeped.
The sound sent a tingling sensation through my entire body and gave me new energy.
A few more deep breaths, and the hour was over.
My mind spent some time digging up memories of deranged 4chan posts I had read about two decades ago.
When it wasn’t doing that, the dot began to dance.
Sometimes it split into two before I managed to refocus.
I’ve devolved from Homo sapiens sapiens into Homo distractus.
To reverse the trend, I’m running a little experiment:
For 30 days, I’m going to stare at a dot on a wall for one hour a day.
Today was day one.
The setup is simple:
• Mark a dot on the wall
• Set a kitchen timer for 60 minutes
• Sit down and stare
To make it more interesting, I placed the timer behind me, so I wouldn’t know how much time was left.
Every time I 3D print something, I can’t help thinking this is as close to magic as it gets:
Think up a thing, apply some mediocre 3D modelling skills, wait a bit - and it‘s real
Is there a list of packages that used a compromised version of Trivy in their CI? I can check my dependency graph, but I can‘t check the Github workflow history of all our dependencies.
PyPI quarantined it in 46 minutes, but that was enough for 47k downloads. 2,337 packages on PyPI depend on litellm. 88% had no version pin. We analyzed that, check if you were exposed: futuresearch.ai/blog/litellm…
