I want to share some of what I have personally experienced in the past few weeks because I believe others who speak out against the Islamic regime in Iran need to understand how these operations work. I am an American-Israeli journalist covering Iran, and I have been repeatedly targeted by sophisticated cyberattacks, attempted espionage, and coordinated online harassment campaigns. Several months ago, the regime’s Ministry of Intelligence publicly designated me an enemy of the regime, placing me second on a list of individuals it considers particularly hostile. In recent weeks, the targeting has escalated significantly. Here is what has been happening: 1. Google has repeatedly warned me that government-backed attackers are targeting my accounts. I have received multiple official Google security warnings involving more than one of my accounts. These are not the first warnings: Google also notified me of government-backed attempts to compromise my accounts in 2024. 2. Someone hacked the X account of an academic I personally know, and used it to lure me into a phishing operation. On September 30, I received a message from the account of Daniel Pipes, an academic I know personally, inviting me to discuss a new project. A woman posing as his assistant subsequently contacted me through email and WhatsApp, arranged a meeting, and sent what appeared to be a Google Meet invitation. When I clicked the link, I was redirected to a suspicious website asking me to sign into my Google account. I refused to enter my credentials. The supposed assistant insisted that the website was their internal server and that it was safe. I refused again. I later contacted the real Daniel Pipes, who confirmed that his account had been compromised and that he had never sent me those messages. 3. Last week, I was targeted with a remote-access Trojan disguised as a copyright infringement lawsuit. An email accusing me of copyright violations on social media directed me to download a file supposedly related to legal proceedings. I suspected it was malicious and did not download it. Examination of the file in an isolated sandbox environment identified what appeared to be Parallax RAT, malware capable of providing attackers with remote access to an infected computer. 4. I have also been subjected to coordinated online character assassination and disinformation campaigns, including activity linked to the IRGC. These campaigns have involved vicious sexist attacks against me, racist attacks against my partner, and the deliberate circulation of false allegations about my political positions and activities. Among the fabrications are claims that I supposedly “vote for Arab parties” in Israel, alongside other invented narratives intended to discredit me and drive wedges between Iranians and Israelis. My message to other journalists, dissidents, activists, and anyone speaking out against the Islamic Republic is simple: take these threats seriously. The people targeting you may not appear as strangers. They may impersonate your friends, colleagues, professional contacts, or legitimate institutions. Their attacks may unfold over days or weeks and involve multiple platforms to establish credibility. Verify unusual requests, even when they appear to come from someone you know. Protect your accounts and be extremely cautious with unfamiliar links and attachments. Cc: @israelpolice

Sinwar and all his followers are dead forever—they chose death and were defeated—but the victors, the people of Israel live: “Am Yisrael Chai.” 🇮🇱 Shabbat Shalom from Tel Aviv.

Wow. This is heartwarming. @UEFA has authorized Israel’s national team to wear black armbands during tonight’s match against @IrelandFootball in memory of those murdered on October 7. In a world that has so often tried to erase, minimize, or justify what happened to us, seeing their memory honored like this means more than words can express. May their memories forever be a blessing. 🕯️🇮🇱

🛑A shocking scene in the Netherlands. Sabine Tasa , whose husband Gil and son Or were murdered by Hamas on October 7 confronted filmmakers Yuval Abraham and Rachel Shor during a screening of Naza in Delft. “Look me in the eyes. You talk about collateral damage? My husband and my son were murdered by Hamas. Where is that in your film?” According to reports, several people in the audience responded: “We don’t care,” “Shame on you,” and “We don’t want to hear.” Imagine saying those words to a mother standing in front of you after her husband and son were murdered.😢💔

Greta Thunberg is now using her "activism" to go after Ed Sheeran. She and the Free Palestine movement have made a quick and tactical maneuver to strike at his comments section. A devastating blow. Hopefully no burner phones had to be tossed in the ocean this time.

24 hours after I detailed the VP’s disturbing associations with Qatar (including, in some cases, relationships with people working explicitly on Qatar’s behalf), The Daily Caller, a publication majority-owned by Neil Patel, with Omeed Malik as an investor, ran a hit piece insinuating that me, an American citizen criticizing her own Vice President, amounts to “foreign interference.” But WAIT. It gets better. Included in their “evidence” is the fact that someone who bought one of the channels I work with, also bought a house on the same street as the Israeli prime minister. OH NO! Clearly, FOREIGN INFLUENCE. 😂 Imagine being so fragile that this is how you respond to journalists who criticize you. 😂 What a thin-skinned coward JD Vance and all his beta followers are. Thanks for revealing your true colors ✌️@DailyCaller

Really curious why the @oxfordunion has still not released the debate with myself, @einatwilf @henmazzig and @avimayer. For weeks we have tried to be in touch with them and been told a variety of things about “release forms” (which all of us signed and submitted on site) and all kinds of claims about how and when they will post our debate on Israel. In person, we were told 2-3 weeks. It’s now been 2 months. Most debates from the same term have been published yet ours still hasn’t. Hard to believe that’s a coincidence.

A lot of people are understandably missing the point about why so many of us are upset and speaking out about Clavicular. Within the Jewish community, there has always been an unofficial rule that we protect one another. Of course, this extends to our non-Jewish friends as well. When I'm abroad, a Jewish community centre or synagogue represents a place of safety. When I walk around Tel Aviv, I rarely have to worry about my safety as a woman because I live in a country where I don't have to fear being jumped or attacked. In the rare instance that something does happen, I know there would be ten Israeli men running to help me within seconds. Especially in a post–October 7 world, after the vile and traumatic sexual violence and gang rape that Jewish women were subjected to, I assumed there was an instinct to protect and safeguard Jewish women. I never imagined that men I know or associate with would lure another Jewish woman to meet a predator. That they would encourage, or even pimp out, Jewish women to a man who is currently facing sexual assault charges, for the sake of parties and social media views. This goes beyond "strategy," "unity," or whether you believe it is effective to engage with a controversial figure. I thought we had an unofficial rule to protect one another from this. It seems I was wrong.

By signing Saint Levant does @Prada approve of his grotesque praise for the thugs who went on a “Jew-hunt” in Amsterdam in late 2024? I’d like to know.
