There's a lot of complaints about FAA regulations, but, I'm going to say that all those rules I follow under part 91 are there for a reason. Furthermore, one of the first rules is 'If there's an emergency you can break any of these rules to save the day'. So if you have an engine failure and the only place you can land is Area 51 then the FAA says its OK. (You might still be arrested by the military police, but the FAA won't take away your pilot license)
