So they can turn it on when they can be arsed. Hopefully it kick starts us now. The hope that kills you isn't it?
But but it was the alcohol... or was it mental health. She's such a lovely girl normally.
Shocking moment Asda cashier imitates a monkey and hurls vile racist abuse at a black nightclub bouncer
Daisy Johnson, 21, from Rochdale was filmed outside Ko Ko Lounge shouting racist abuse including the N word, calling a black bouncer sewer trash and imitating a monkey.
She tried to snatch his phone and abused others. Asda sacked her for the conduct.
Greater Manchester Police are investigating and no arrests have been made.
Her mother said she is mortified.
Does any united fan actually care who's the next manager? We'll just be back in this same position in 12 months if not less time.
De ligt playing his first game under Carrick? I didn't even realise he'd been out that long. I give him 37 minutes before he goes off injured
Not even angry at the result, it was expected. it's a different kind of morbidness where you've been proven right and that's as sad as it gets really.
Another one who's off his fucking head.
I watched the F1 film with Brad Pitt the other day, and there’s a moment where his character asks to add something to the car that isn’t really in the rules. The FIA punishes it, but the team can still race with the earlier car. It made me think.
In F1, the best teams live at the edge of the regulations. Sometimes the FIA allows what they’ve found, and sometimes it says that goes too far. Occasionally the rules are rewritten afterwards.
Now, City. I’m not defending them. A commission found they entered into sham agreements and broke the spending limits. A sham is an arrangement that isn’t what it claims to be, so that’s a different thing from using a gap nobody had spotted.
City deny it and will appeal. But I find it useful to ask/reflect on how people inside the club see it.
From their point of view, PERHAPS they believe they were doing what elite competitors do: looking at the rules, finding the limits, challenging interpretations and moving faster than the regulatory system.
From the outside, you might look at that and say, “That’s cheating.” From inside the organisation, they might say, “We found something nobody had thought of.”
If you believe you’ve found a way to bring money in, more or less within the rules (and the commission said it was not in the rules and it was cheating), you might tell yourself you’re just being a sharp competitor.
We are all asking “did City cheat?”. But I find this question interesting too: “how did City come to believe they weren’t?”
And understanding a mindset, or trying to, isn’t excusing it.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Manchester City were found guilty of 114 out of 115 charges by an independent commission. The comparison made is not in the same ball park to the level of rule breaking Man City have committed.

What stage of grief is this?
In 1910 the FA investigated Manchester United over debts of more than £16,000, including £9,631 owed to owner John Henry Davies, and allegations of illegal player payments.
Manchester United’s first great team was owner-funded. In 2026 the rules suddenly matter, because Manchester City are the ones involved.
The original sham funding story in Manchester is red, not blue.
Fucking wow! What stage of greif is this?
The timing of the leak and the subsequent publication of the guilty verdict by the Premier League was calculated and deliberate.
✅United have had a disastrous start to the season: their team looks listless and another £1bn of spend is required to compete.
✅More borrowing is needed as finances become ever more stretched.
✅A stadium getting more dilapidated by the day, with huge investment required.
Contrast this with City:
✅A phenomenal transfer window, a newly expanded stadium, a new 400-bed hotel, upgraded hospitality suites and a spectacular fanzone.
✅City’s attendances now topping 60,000.
✅7 wins from 7 games – the season is looking very promising.
The Premier League sat on this verdict for two years, and all we got after all that time was a lightweight, redacted report.
The Premier League were hoping City would fade away. They were biding their time, but as this season progressed and City kept improving, the pressure built: “Where is the verdict?”
The contrasting fortunes of the two big teams in Manchester became ever more apparent: City getting stronger, United getting weaker and staring into the abyss.
The Manchester City juggernaut had to be stopped.
The decision that had been postponed for two years finally had to be taken to halt City in its tracks and to save United from oblivion.
The timing was chosen for maximum impact, maximum attention, maximum exposure and maximum damage – with no Premier League games for three weeks, there would be no distractions.
The verdict wasn’t just announced; it was aggressive and vitriolic. It wasn’t the act of an independent regulator passing a verdict; it was a regulator attacking with venom against a foe, not behaving as an impartial, fair‑minded regulator.
City cannot be cowed. We must stand up for truth and justice and take this case as far as necessary to clear our name.
Thank you for explaining what sportswashing is.

Haha fuck off. Many teams spent more than us in the 90s, look back and you'll find that even city did on occasions. Really are making dicks of yourselves and this is why the rest of the prem is laughing! Everyone's fault but citeh
Had today’s FFP/PSR rules -
(which Man United helped to create)
existed back in 1989 when Alex Ferguson began his spending spree,
Man United would have breached FFP multiple times.
Let that sink in.

This city CEO or whoever he is on SSN stating they will prove they're innocent just like in 2020? You wasn't found innocent you tit! You got off on a dodgy technicality because the time had lapsed with UEFA, probably some nice brown envelopes involved.
