Take the point all night long. Not their best through regulation - but guarantees at least 5/6 through a 3 game in 4 night road trip.
3-on-3 with a chance to go perfect.
Head home content either way.
The cherry on top. Nuge gets underneath the guy perfectly and it's a penalty. These officials are abysmal.
Multiple soft calls both ways.
This is one of the biggest "got away with one" periods ever.
Oilers get dominated - but are down only a goal and will start the 3rd on a 5-on-3 PP.
Boys are living right.
Oilers have been playing excellent hockey lately...but they need to get out of this 2nd period. Absolutely getting caved in by New Jersey.
This photo was taken in the summer before he played his first NHL game (he's 18, I'm 25 and he's aged a hell of a lot better than I have).
Tonight he becomes the franchise leader in games played.
A fantastic guy, active member of the community and a truly great player.
This one brought me out of my seat. What a clutch play and play call. Bears gave Seattle life with a turnover but have otherwise been absolutely excellent tonight on both sides of the ball.
Tomkins! That’s a tremendous start for anyone let alone an emergency recall and 4th string goalie. Feel great for that young man, full marks.
Oilers big guns opportunistic early and the team was EXCELLENT in the 3rd to close it out.
Playing really good hockey this week.
It’s a mid-3rd crowd wave kinda night as the opponent earns a tummy rub and a biscuit for an epic rollover.
Not sure anyone on this plucky but mostly anonymous Flames team has even looked at Dach since he bowled over their goalie and knocked him out of the game.
Oilers have blown it open to start the 3rd.
Question for Oilers fans - first year without our season seats and I don't know the rest of the building that well. Going to take my 5 year old tomorrow - suggestions on great places to sit or avoid sitting re: sight lines for him?
Shootout is a coin flip.
You’d have expected a lot more from a lot more guys (especially in the first 40 minutes) after being embarrassed on home ice on Saturday.
Injuries are a factor…but…they don’t preclude the guys who are in the lineup from playing adequately.
