Built the first Spanish-language podcast network in 2005. Everybody said too early. Now building @DIXOOnChain. Probably also too early.

NYC, here I come!! Podcast Movement, September 17-18, Terminal 5. Presenting "What Happened When Mexico's Largest Radio Network Paid Listeners to Engage With a Daily Podcast." That network is @grupoacir. Not a new format. Not a traditional podcast. A podcast that does things podcasts can't do. Nobody else has this. Twenty years of doing this from Mexico City and this one still feels like a big deal. Come find me! I'd rather argue than network. @PodcastMovement

The best web3 onboarding may be no web3 onboarding at all. We did it. Ask me how.
Wild how easy it is to onboard someone to Instinct or Muse versus crypto. The fact that you can’t really do anything in web3 before spending money is not event the worst part of the friction.

So, did I get this right? Military-trained-Israeli-zionist-jew-colonizers beat an Omani National using disproportionate force after they/them allegedly stabbed someone in the cockpit, and that the fight caused the plane to dive more than 10,000 feet, endangering the lives of non-Israeli children and passengers? Is this right?

I came back from @PodcastMovement energized. DIXO took the main stage, and people who attended the keynote told us we brought something truly unique. Thank you to everyone who came, tried the experience and shared their thoughts. I started DIXO in Mexico in 2005. People told me I was early. They were right. At the end of my keynote in New York, I said, "I think I'm early again." But this time, we have a working product, listeners who have used it, and conversations with people across the industry who believe the creator market is ready. What DIXO brings is audience intelligence. It helps podcasters and any content creator understand who is listening, why they listen, and which parts of their content capture the most attention. That understanding grows through participation. Audiences can answer questions, comment and share, earning rewards for getting involved. Creators learn from those actions and use that insight to make content that gives people more reasons to listen and return. It creates a virtuous circle: listeners are rewarded for participating, creators gain insight and reach, and the platform grows alongside them. I heard many conversations in New York about moving podcasting beyond downloads. We've spent years building toward that. Now I'm excited to see how much further we can take it with others who have helped shape this industry. If you make shows, build players, run a hosting company or work on open standards, I'd love to show you what we've built and explore what we could do together. Built from Mexico City.

Friday I said we built a podcast that does things podcasts can't do. What does that mean? In a normal podcast, the show can ask the listener to do exactly one thing: LISTEN. Everything else is a workaround: a CTA asks you to leave the show and go somewhere else. A survey is a link in the description. A giveaway is an email address. That's not a failure of creativity. It's plumbing. An RSS feed is essentially a list of files and metadata. It doesn't know who you are. It can't take an input from you. And it can't give you anything back. So we rebuilt that part. Our podcast has a state layer underneath it. The RSS feed still takes the show everywhere a podcast normally goes—but now the show can also know what happened and respond. The listener votes, and the vote counts. Answers a question, and knows whether they got it right. Makes a prediction, and later finds out whether it happened. Earns something—and keeps it. Those sound like small changes. They're not. Because a podcast that can accept input and respond to the listener is no longer limited to one verb. Listen becomes listen, answer, vote, predict, learn, earn, return. That's not a better format. It's a different set of verbs. See you September 17–18 in New York at @PodcastMovement.

The Apehands website is live 🌐🥳 theapehands.com We started as 3,333 pieces on ApeChain. Four hand-shaped characters, a family, and an idea that most people did not need at the time. No roadmap full of promises. Just building, week after week, between shifts. Today that idea has a home. What is inside: → The Handerson family. Banjo the kid, Kira the little one, Mum and Dad. Each one with their own colour, their own personality, their own way of getting into trouble. → Season 01. Magic Clouds and Cooking Empanadas are on the way, coming soon on YouTube. Small stories about curiosity, patience and family. → Free printable colouring pages. Print them, colour them, no email required, no catch. → Free wallpapers for every screen. Ten of them already up, more coming. → A newsletter, so the next episode does not pass you by. → A Web3 section, because we never forget where we started or which chain we started on. @ApeChainHUB is home. The holders who were there when there was nothing to show are the reason there is something to show now. This is not the finish line. It is the first floor. Go in, look around, and tell us what you want to see next. theapehands.com Little hands. Big adventures.
