Just imagine the reverse scenario. Had India been constructing a 60,000-megawatt super-dam immediately upstream of Chinese territory near a contested frontier, Beijing would almost certainly have mobilized international opinion, emphasized environmental risks, highlighted scientific concerns and portrayed the project as reckless and a direct strategic threat. India has essentially chosen silence where China would choose amplification.
The greatest irony is that India already possesses the evidence needed to reshape the international debate on the super-dam. It does not have to speculate about hidden faults or invent worst-case scenarios. PAKISTAN: Reacting to reports that security forces used lethal force against protesters in Rawalakot, Pakistan-administered Jammu and Kashmir, on the first day of the regional election, Isabelle Lassee, Amnesty International’s Acting Regional Director for South Asia, said:
“The disturbing reports emerging from Rawalakot are consistent with the Pakistani authorities’ long history of unlawful violence against protesters in Jammu and Kashmir. A prompt, independent, and transparent investigation must be ordered into the security forces’ use of force against protesters. So long as an internet and mobile services blackout remains in place, it will severely impede the independent verification of the full extent of the situation on the ground. We urge the Pakistani authorities to restore all communications access and allow media and independent observers into the area.”

So the story is - On Jan 19, 2008, a girl with her father went to Chaya Studio owned by Shri Himanshu Kumar Pathak ji in Amarpur, Bihar for a photograph.
Pathak ji asked her father to remain outside on the pretext that he needed to check the photos on the computer.
He then locked the door from inside and undressed himself.
Pathakji removed her salwar, and forcefully started pressing her chest.
The girl started crying and screaming. Hearing her cries, when her father forced open the door, Pathakji fled.
The Additional Sessions Judge in Banka, Bihar then convicted Pathakji in attempt to r@pe charges.
On this 9 July, the Bench of Justice Purnendu Singh held that attempting to remove a woman’s salwar and pressing her chest does “not unequivocally establish" an attempt to rape and acquitted Shri Himanshu Kumar Pathak ji.
The court said there was no evidence of penetration "even to the slightest extent" to establish attempt to r@pe. ☺️
In a patriarchal society, a woman fought for 18 years. I even cannot imagine the hurdles she faced in her quest for justice and to punish her molester, only to see this day. Can you?
However, according to sources, the judgment has triggered a wave of jubilation among all the existing, potential, and future rapists and molesters in India.

मुख्यधारा का मीडिया धार्मिक ध्रुवीकरण और राजनीतिक नूराकुश्ती बेचने में व्यस्त रहा और इस व्यवस्था ने उन्हें चुपचाप निगल लिया।
हम सब मरेंगे क्योंकि हमने कभी सही लोगों को नहीं पहचाना। हम बस दलालों को सिर आंखों पर बिठाते रहे और देश को बचाने निकला एक सच्चा इंसान घुट-घुट कर चला गया।
