PRESIDENT TINUBU WELCOMES AIRTEL’S OPEN NETWORK LAUNCH, COMMENDS INVESTMENT IN TELECOMS INFRASTRUCTURE President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has welcomed the launch of Airtel Nigeria’s Open Network initiative, describing it as a positive step towards greater transparency, consumer protection and improved telecommunications services in Nigeria. In a statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President Information & Strategy indicates that the initiative, unveiled in Lagos at an event attended by the Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Dr Aminu Maida, allows subscribers to access information about network developments in their areas and report service difficulties directly to the operator. President Tinubu said the initiative aligns with his administration’s commitment to encouraging private-sector investment, expanding digital infrastructure, and ensuring Nigerians benefit from more reliable and accessible telecommunications services. The statement adds that the President welcomed the growing emphasis on transparency in the sector, including the NCC’s public network coverage maps, performance information and consumer satisfaction surveys, which help Nigerians better understand the services available to them and hold operators accountable. It also highlighted the Federal Government’s recent Zero-Rated Access to Educational Platforms and Content Initiative, implemented through the NCC in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Education and telecommunications operators. The programme, designed to provide eligible students with up to 100MB of free daily data to access approved educational websites and learning resources, reflects his administration’s determination to make digital opportunities more accessible, particularly to young Nigerians. The statement recalled President Tinubu's meeting with the Founder and Chairman of Bharti Airtel, Mr Sunil Bharti Mittal, at the State House, Abuja, in February 2025, during which he reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to creating a favourable environment for telecommunications investment, strengthening the regulatory framework and protecting critical digital infrastructure. The President welcomed Airtel Nigeria’s continued investment in network expansion, which has seen its infrastructure grow from approximately 15,000 sites two years ago to more than 17,000 nationwide. The expansion includes more than 1,050 network sites added during the company’s 2025/26 financial year, including 657 5G sites. It further adds that sustained investment in telecommunications infrastructure is essential to expanding broadband access, improving network capacity, and supporting businesses, education, and economic opportunities across Nigeria. He commended the NCC, under the leadership of Dr Maida, for its continued efforts to strengthen regulatory oversight, promote transparency and protect telecommunications consumers. It urged operators to sustain investment in network expansion, particularly in underserved communities, and ensure that customer complaints receive timely attention. President Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to maintaining a business environment that encourages responsible investment and innovation while ensuring that consumer interests remain central to telecommunications development. He called on operators to translate their investments into better network coverage, fewer service disruptions and more responsive customer service for Nigerians.

The problem of the country called Nigeria is not the president but those supporting the government. For this quote to exist, it shows there is more to the visit and he's been paid to confuse the public
President Tinubu is not heading to Saudi Arabia for medical treatment. He is heading to the Holy Land for Lesser Hajj (Umrah), like other Muslims across the world, to offer supplications for the country and commit his re-election journey into the hands of God. This is not new... it is a regular practice among Muslims when they want to embark on any critical journey or attain a milestone. Mr Sowore, in case you have temporary amnesia, Bola Ahmed Tinubu travelled to Makkah, Saudi Arabia, to perform Umrah (Lesser Hajj) twice in 2022... first in April 2022, before the APC primary election, and again in late December 2022, before the presidential election. His prayers were answered on both occasions. It is only sensible to stick to a potent strategy, hence the President is going again. On Saturday, the President was in Kaduna to flag off his re-election campaign. Yesterday, he received the former AfDB President, Akinwumi Adesina, in an audience and separately hosted the Director-General of the Nigerian Tourism Development Authority (NTDA), Ola Awakan. Yesterday ,the President chaired the FEC meeting, where some consequential decisions were made. Mr Sowore, a “sick person” would not have this many itineraries to accomplish. Mr President is fit as a fiddle, and no evil, as you are wishing for, will befall the People’s President.

David’s dominion was a shadow of things to come, but limited by borders and breath. The reign of the present-day disciple is broader, deeper, and more eternal. It is an authority that operates beyond the limits of earthly empires. #DeeperLife #PastorKumuyi #SundayService
