Android was built around choice. How important is sideloading to you?
A quick reminder about this petition to keep Android open. Google's developer verification plans could have major consequences for APK distribution, independent developers and alternative app stores. A financial company that doesnt leak user data... who is building that?
โ€ผ๏ธ BREAKING: Revolut handed over customersโ€™ passport copies, verification selfies and full transaction histories to a malicious actor. The actor sent lawful government information-demand emails using a genuine government domain that passed domain authentication. Revolut later concluded they were not authentic. Affected customers were notified on Friday. What may have been disclosed ranges from name, date of birth and home address to account statements, withdrawal records and complete Bitcoin transaction history. The company says it has alerted the agency to the unauthorised mailbox on its domain, blocked the address and begun notifying regulators. It has not named the agency, explained how someone obtained a mailbox there, or given a number of affected customers. ZachXBT, who circulated the notices, believes the incident was limited in size and aimed at high-net-worth users.

Have a look ๐Ÿ‘€ There's always options...
Looking for an Android alternative to stock Android? This comparison is worth bookmarking. It compares GrapheneOS, CalyxOS, iodรฉOS, /e/OS, LineageOS and stock Android across a lot more than just โ€œhow much Google is removedโ€. Security, verified boot, hardware attestation, app isolation, network controls, updates, Google connections, supported devices, Android Auto, RCS and much more. And some of the differences are quite significant. For example, GrapheneOS stands out with hardware-based security verification, Secure App Spawning, hardware memory tagging on supported devices, and several additional hardening measures. No OS is perfect for everyone. The interesting part is seeing what each project prioritizes. If you're thinking about leaving stock Android, this is a great place to start. eylenburg.github.io/android_โ€ฆ Which Android-based OS are you currently using? #Android #DeGoogle #Privacy

Freezing the freezers? ๐Ÿฅถ
โš–๏ธ LEGAL: #Tether is facing a lawsuit over its power to freeze #USDT. Two Thai businessmen are challenging the issuerโ€™s decision to blacklist 10 Ethereum addresses holding roughly $42.4 million in USDT before authorities obtained a seizure warrant.
