Braj Mohan Ram appointed as the new Governor of Odisha.
A senior BJP leader from Jharkhand, Ram is a former Bihar MLA and a three-time Lok Sabha MP from Palamu (1996, 1998, 1999). Known for his association with the BJP's Scheduled Caste outreach initiatives.

In Parliament they could support but in Odisha with local elections around the corner, the BJD would naturally want to avoid sending mixed signals to its grassroots supporters. For decades, its cadre has been politically opposed to the Congress and has fought hard against it.
We saw in recent Rajya Sabha election how even the perception of the BJD and Congress standing together created confusion on the ground.
A month ago, Naveen Babu's own cousin went on a podcast and took shots at him. Nobody bothered to respond because not every claim deserves oxygen. The same goes for Ruben Bannerjee. If you've followed his career, you'd know sensational claims especially about Naveen Babu are kind of his thing.

Similarly, Starlink and Jio have different target customers, Musk's claim that Starlink is not allowed because of Jio is utter Rubbish.
Taj sells Luxury, Oyo affordability.
Starlink is neither luxury, nor affordable. It is only for distant locations.
I will anyday prefer Fiber connection over starlink for my home. Starlink's connectivity impacts in bad weather, it's latency is also high. High cost too.
Also, nobody cares brand of wifi or router is.
When people compare monthly cost of Starlink, they mean for common public. Not rich.
Musk says starlink will help in Education in villages without 5g. But can those people afford month bills of Starlink?
How many of those villagers stay at Taj in Delhi?
Also, Oyo or Taj don't make Hotels where hardly few people are there. Because they also need customers.
Starlink will have very few customers in India because of high cost. So why is Musk so desperate?

police. I understand their anguish.
But can you imagine army jawans & their officers posting like this?
Jawans risk their lives, often don’t see their families for months, make much less money than the average police constable, do not function as minions of powerful politicians and when they engage in hostilities they target invaders and foreign armies. They don’t beat up their own people, threaten them, extort bribes from them or act against young students whose only crime seems to be that they believe in democracy.
None of this is to deny that the Delhi police face huge obstacles & work hard . They have a right to be heard. But all too often their hard work only benefits venal politicians.

Student union elections should be about dialogue and democratic participation, not intimidation. If candidates are being intimidated or prevented from contesting freely, it only proves why former CM Naveen Babu had suspended such activities in educational institutions years ago.
