Humbled that Trey thought enough of me to do a story.
Had a ton of fun sharing and reminiscing with him.
Check out the story below! 👇
David Bentley’s road has never been easy.
But Bentley’s unwavering faith — and his passion for mentoring youth through basketball — have carried him through his ups and downs in life. 🏀
Enjoyed sitting down with a true Greer legend this week:

I’ve heard the saying that “God gives his toughest battles to his toughest soldiers.” But when I see the disciples that Jesus chose and suffered for His name sake, I don’t see Him choosing the “toughest soldiers”, as I learn about men and women in the past and even today who have laid down their lives for Jesus, once again I don’t see God choosing His “toughest soldiers.” But I see a strong and mighty God choosing weak men and woman, and empowering them by His Holy Spirit to face some of the toughest battles and be used for His glory.
I once thought I was a “tough soldier” until I met Jesus, I then realized that I’m so weak without Him, and apart from Jesus I can’t do anything. I need Jesus daily. The only way that I can truly become who God wants me to be and truly do what God wants me to do, is not by my power not by my might, but only by The Spirit of The Living God. Thank you Jesus.

Three truths Christians believe that should be a constant source or happiness: (1) Our bad things will turn out for good (Rom 8:28) (2) The good things we have can never be taken away from us (Rom 8:29-31; 37-39) and (3) The best things are yet to come (Rom 8:18-21).

God answers because of who he is.
He answers because of what he's doing.
He answers because he loves to see us come, and he loves to provide just the grace for that moment.
So even though you have nothing to bring to the Lord that would commend you to him, you can approach him with confidence.

For those of us in Christ, who have been given eternal life, we know where our story is going.
We know how the final chapter ends.
We might not know the next chapter, and we will be surprised by what is coming around the corner, but we know where our final destination is.

Just a reminder for me when people take shots at my thoughts or shares on social media or in life….
🤔
Hey everybody , the world has enough critics. It has enough noise. What it desperately needs are more people willing to quietly love, faithfully serve, and humbly show up day after day.
Those are the lives that truly change the world… even if they never make the news.
Make a difference today

If you look back, your story probably changed because someone believed in you before you fully believed in yourself.
Before the resume. Before the results. Before you felt ready.
Now you have the opportunity to do the same for someone else. Sometimes one person's belief is all it takes to change another person's future.
