TLDR: Steercode is joining @expo - the leading open-source framework for building mobile apps.
A bit of a story:
In 2021, @adamzvada and I built a company that didn’t work out. After 3 years of giving it everything, we shut it down and returned the money to investors. That was a tough moment.
After about a year of recovery I knew I was ready to go all in again and we started SteerCode. We were up against teams with millions in funding, and as “vibecoding” became a real space, it felt like a lot of people were building similar things.
Still, we kept shipping. Small team, fully bootstrapped. And we proved we could compete with much bigger players by moving fast and staying focused.
Then in September, I went to see @ccheever. We ended up spending three hours over lunch talking about AI coding and what the future of building mobile apps could look like. It became obvious we shared the same vision. Joining Expo felt like the right move: multiply our chances to succeed, and build alongside the team already creating the best tools for mobile app development.
Really grateful for this journey!
.@expo just launched a new CLI for coding agents.

I predict that within a year, every in-person convo will be recorded, just like every virtual meeting is today.
