Musk spent over $290 million to put Trump in the White House. Heโ€™s $640 billion richer today. Not a bad investment. Now heโ€™s spending up to $200 million to try to keep Republicans in control of Congress. Our job: Stop Musk. Stop Trump.ย Elect Progressives.ย End Citizens United.

Hello? Elon Musk says women arenโ€™t โ€œfree to thinkโ€ and that decisions should only be made by โ€œautistsโ€ and โ€œhigh T alpha males.โ€ We must stop normalizing this sick, deviant lunatic as anything but a dangerous parasite on America who must be stopped at all costs. This old 4chan post is like a foundational manifesto for incels to be violent misogynistic psychopaths.

Russian infantry in Kostiantynivka were offered a way out. They refused. So the 49th Battalion introduced them to a homemade explosive device and dropped the building on top of them. The basement they chose as a fighting position became their grave. No evacuation, no exchange, no heroic last stand. Just rubble and smoke where the occupiers used to be. Every basement in that city now carries the same lesson: surrender or get buried.

โ€œNext time, if itโ€™s captivity or death, Iโ€™d rather kill myself. I will never be taken prisoner again.โ€ Olesia Melnychenko was a paramedic captured after leaving Azovstal. Instead, she survived โ€” and spent 223 days in russian captivity, including at the Olenivka prison camp where the massacre took place. 28 women were crammed into a cell meant for 6. She lost 12 kg. They were given barely edible food and water with tadpoles in it. During interrogations, she was locked in a cage. russian men threatened and humiliated her. But the worst part was hearing Ukrainian men being tortured behind the wall. For days. She feared dying because her little son might grow up with no memories of his mother. She was freed on December 31, 2022, and returned to the Ukrainian army. This is what russian captivity means. Thousands of Ukrainians are still living through this hell. Donโ€™t be silent. #FreeUkrainianPOWs #FreeAzovstalDefenders

Mainstream media starting to report what I set out 2 days ago Russia concealing possible pneumonic plague outbreak, reports The Sun The British newspaper The Sun reports on a possible outbreak of pneumonic plague in the Irkutsk region, suggesting that Russian authorities are not disclosing the true scale of the situation. Epidemiologist Mikhail Favorov believes that a 28-year-old employee of an anti-plague institute might have initially been mistaken for a COVID patient due to respiratory issues and placed on a ventilator. He notes that if the woman did indeed have pneumonic plague, this could have led to the infection of others, spreading through those who had been in contact with her. However, the expert dismissed the theory that a test tube had broken in the laboratory as unlikely. He explained that staff at anti-plague institutes work in specialized protective gear, making the probability of infection in such a manner very low. Amid the situation, Anna Popova, the head of Rospotrebnadzor, has personally traveled to the Irkutsk region. Meanwhile, the regional governor still has not specified the exact nature of the illness.

An Argentine passport can now be purchased for $350,000 (28 million rubles), an offer Russians canโ€™t refuse. The country, the first in South America, is launching a citizenship by investment program. Instead of a non-refundable contribution, investors can purchase government bonds worth $800,000 (64 million rubles). In addition to the investor, citizenship can also be obtained by spouses and children. An Argentine passport provides visa-free entry to 170 countries.

๐Ÿ’” 12 YEARS BEFORE THE CORNELL 7, A MATTRESS BECAME A NATIONAL SYMBOL OF CAMPUS SEXUAL ASSAULT In 2014, Columbia University student Emma Sulkowicz started hauling a 50-pound dorm mattress everywhere she went on campus. There was a reason. Two years earlier, Sulkowicz had accused fellow Columbia student Paul Nungesser of sexually assaulting her in her dorm room. He denied the allegation, and Columbiaโ€™s disciplinary process ultimately found him not responsible. Sulkowicz turned what happened afterward into her senior art thesis, Mattress Performance (Carry That Weight). She would carry the mattress around Columbia as long as she and Nungesser remained students there. She couldnโ€™t ask anyone to help, but she could accept help when it was offered. People offered. For months, students helped her haul that damn mattress across campus, into buildings and between classes. Then graduation arrived. Nungesser was still a Columbia student, so Sulkowicz brought the mattress with her. On May 19, 2015, she crossed the graduation stage carrying it with the help of other students. The photograph became one of the defining images of a much larger national fight over campus sexual assault and what universities actually do when one student accuses another. More than a decade later, Iโ€™m looking at whatโ€™s unfolding at Cornell and thinking about that mattress again. Jane Doe has alleged in a civil lawsuit that seven members of Cornellโ€™s Chi Phi fraternity sexually assaulted her after she became heavily intoxicated and incapacitated in October 2024. Those allegations have not been adjudicated, and the men have denied wrongdoing. The criminal investigation has since been reopened, and Cornell has agreed to an independent review of its handling of the case. Iโ€™m not suggesting these cases are identical. They arenโ€™t. What I canโ€™t get past is how recognizable the larger conversation still is. We spent years debating whether universities were equipped, willing and sufficiently independent to investigate allegations of sexual violence involving their own students. We changed policies. We fought over Title IX. We held hearings. We plastered that mattress across newspapers and television screens as a symbol of a system people were demanding we examine. And here we are. Another Ivy League campus. Another woman saying she was sexually assaulted. Another institutional response under scrutiny. Another public argument about intoxication, consent, credibility and what the university did after it was told. Twelve years ago, Emma Sulkowicz made people look at a mattress because she wanted them to understand what it felt like to carry something she believed her university had failed to resolve. Maybe the most damning part of seeing that image again isnโ€™t how much has changed since then. Itโ€™s how little explaining the mattress still requires
