Breathe in folks. Apparently we’ve more ‘breathing space’ after today’s budget. @UKLabour are gaslighting all of us. If you voted for them and are a full time working person. I can’t understand what made you make that choice.
What a silly billy.
Dear Tottenham hotspur,
Harry Kane was never built from your academy, that glory belongs to Arsenal to keep.
Let me give you a brief breakdown of his career, the career you guys already killed and buried before he ran for help at Bayern-Munich where he achieved this huge milestone. It would have never been possible, if he was still with you guys… same way Modric ran from you guys 😂😂😂.
Harry Kane began playing organised football at the local grassroots club Ridgeway Rovers in Chingford (Essex) at about age 5–7. From there he joined (ARSENAL’S youth/pre-academy) setup (typically listed as around ages 7–9 or specifically at age 8). He was released after roughly one season, described by then academy head Liam Brady as being “a bit chubby” and not very athletic at the time.
He returned to Ridgeway Rovers, later had a short trial at (WATFORD’S academy, around age 11 in 2004), and then joined Tottenham Hotspur’s academy at age 11 after impressing in a game against Spurs while on trial at Watford. He progressed through Tottenham’s system (scholarship at 16 in 2009, professional contract soon after) and became one of the club’s all-time greats before moving to Bayern Munich.
IN SHORT, ARSENAL was the first professional club academy he entered in England, Tottenham was the one where he developed into a senior professional.
And as for the thank you speech, what he actually meant was “thank you for letting me go” 🤝
One of the best players we will ever see. So proud he was made in Tottenham.
Good grief. I’ve got a shitry ICE Polo as a courtesy car while the EV is in the garage. Just put £16 in and got 70 miles extra range. Like what the fuck, just makes it even more obvious EV’s are the way to go. That gets me nearly 1,000 miles normally. Everything is better on a EV
Replying to @UKVolkswagen
@UKVolkswagen I think you need to vet your dealers a bit more thoroughly. Just taken my iD7 in for a service and some warranty work to Murray’s, Plymouth - after they cancelled on me in July and then ignored me for a few months. Had a call last week to confirm today’s
Of my day, where I couldn’t work, put miles on my lease car, paid a toll on the way to them, to be told that. When they knew all about it beforehand. I was told they were sorry about 8 times. That’s great, but doesn’t help me. I’ve asked them to sort it and get the car to the
This is where the billions given to foreign countries should be going. Giving some people who our government have wronged, some sort of recompense.
£1,700 OF IMAGINARY STAMPS
You run a small post office. One morning the computer says you hold £1,700 of stamps that sit nowhere in your branch. No delivery came. You ring the helpline. The helpline says.. pay.
That happened to Scott Darlington in 2008. He paid £850 a month for 2 months, taken straight from his pay. The Post Office offered no investigation. Customer service at its finest.
Scott Darlington ran the Alderley Edge branch of @PostOffice in Cheshire from 2005 to 2009. A subpostmaster is the person who runs your local post office, usually with their own money. He paid £154K for the branch.
In case you missed the Post Office scandal, here is the short version. The Post Office used a computer system called Horizon, built by Fujitsu. It showed money missing in branches across the UK. The Post Office decided the postmasters took it. Then it prosecuted around 700 of them.
Back to Scott Darlington. After the £1,700, the gaps kept growing. He says he kept the accounts looking right because the last time he asked for help, the Post Office just took the money. By February 2009 an audit put the gap at over £44K.
On audit day, Post Office fraud investigators arrived. He says they told him he was suspected of a crime before the audit was even finished. They interviewed him under caution and searched his home.
He says the Post Office's own report went through his bank accounts and found no evidence he stole anything. The theft charge was dropped. The false accounting charges stayed. Efficiency.
His lawyers told him to plead guilty, because nobody would believe the Post Office's computer could be wrong. His daughter was 8. He pleaded guilty to avoid prison and got 3 months suspended.
On the first day of his trial, the Post Office did not turn up. The judge was not happy.
The Post Office then applied to recover £44K from him under the Proceeds of Crime Act and got a restraining order over his branch lease, his property and his car. It dropped the application on the day of the hearing. He was told it could not succeed.
He told the Post Office Horizon IT Inquiry (@PostOffInquiry) what came next. He lost the branch and the business. His landlord gave him 7 days to find £5K to avoid bankruptcy, so he sold his instruments and home studio. The conviction helped end his relationship with his daughter's mother after more than 20 years together. It left him with depression and anxiety. He passed the interview for a job, then lost it when a background check showed the conviction. He spent over 3 years unemployed and on benefits.
In April 2021 the Court of Appeal quashed his conviction along with 38 others. The judges said the Post Office's failures were so bad that the prosecutions offended the conscience of the court. That came 11 years after his conviction.
The ruling returned his good name, which was nice of it. He told the Inquiry the business, the lost income and the years of poverty stayed lost.
The Post Office is 100% owned by the UK government. Scott Darlington says he believes the Post Office and the government department that owns it knew, or should have known. He wants those responsible held to account in public.
Read his story and share it.
The Post Office is hoping you scroll past.

The referee’s call of red card to Bentancur for violent conduct was checked and confirmed by VAR.
REF: “I’ve got a red card for Bentancur for a headbutt”.
VAR: “He puts his head into Shaw with some force – that’s violent conduct. He stands up and into Shaw and there’s a movement of the head”.
Free kick to @AFCWimbledon for this btw @EFL your officials are absolutely woeful. Today’s was one of the worst I’ve witnessed. Argyle on a breakaway, stops it to give a free kick on the edge of our own box. Counted down sometimes, sometimes never bothered. So bad.
Wow. Absolute gamechanger this. If only something like this had existed for years before.
Starting today, @googlemaps is integrating real-time petrol and diesel prices for the first time.
This new feature uses the UK Government's Fuel Finder data, which forces petrol stations to report price changes within 30 minutes.
