Watched Gal Gadot’s The Runner. The shoot in London was hounded by the usual anti Israel circus. Critics have piled on at Rotten Tomatoes. Ignore them. It’s a sharp, suspenseful little thriller with a proper twist and you get to clock the London high streets and Tube stations as she runs. Watch it. It will annoy all the right people, which is always a bonus!

Friend came to visit us today. Intelligent person.
She explained to me the Israelis are committing genocide in Gaza.
I asked about October 7th. She said, bewildered, that people weren’t killed, just kidnapped. But she did know the Israelis killed people at a music festival.

"Search by image" existed 15 yrs or so, w/o AI. It can find distorted images. So this has nothing to do w/what we're talking about
AIs can also work w/the images, don't get me wrong. Specialized image/video/audio AIs are pretty great. For "search by image" too..

Zelensky just reminded JD Vance that calling Ukrainian territory a "scrap of land" isn't a negotiating position. It's an insult.
With full diplomatic courtesy and zero diplomatic softness, Zelensky explained what Vance apparently doesn't know: the territory in question has 200,000 residents, strong fortifications, and sits exactly where Russia wants to build a bridgehead for its next offensive. Giving it up doesn't end the war. It stages the next one.
Then the closing line: "Every square meter of our land is Ukrainian land and, with all due respect to any of our partners, it is definitely not theirs."
There's no misreading that sentence.

I rarely go to movies or plays. But yesterday I made an exception. The Théâtre de la Concorde in Paris staged the play «Christ in the Gulag». It was written by Ukrainian writer, journalist, and Ukrainian Armed Forces veteran Stanislav Aseyev. After the occupation of Donetsk, he remained in his hometown and continued to write under a pseudonym. Thanks to his publications, the world received truthful information about the people’s lives under Russian occupation.
After his arrest, Stanislav was sent to the secret prison «Isolation», located on the territory of a military base. People are still being held there without any connection to the outside world. I worked with the testimonies of those who survived. We have collected extensive data on systematic torture and ill-treatment—beatings, electric shocks, suffocation, sexual violence, torture by position, removal of body parts, deprivation of water, food, sleep, medical care, etc.
Stanislav spent two years in captivity under such conditions. It was in this concentration camp that he wrote a work of art on several sheets of paper. At that time, there was no guarantee that the play or its author would survive. But eight years have passed, and his words are now being heard in the center of Paris, and the author himself is taking the stage to a standing ovation from the French audience.
I don't know French, so I reread the Ukrainian text before the performance. But even without words, everything was clear to me. Such is the power of the talented Denis Lavant, who this year received the Molière Award for Best Theater Actor.
This play, adapted by Jules Audry, was prepared over the course of a year in collaboration with the Ukrainian Institute as part of the Ukrainian Seasons in France. If you are in Paris, I highly recommend taking advantage of this opportunity. The play «Christ in the Gulag» will be performed at the Théâtre de la Concorde for two more evenings in a row.

I want to speak to conservatives about what I saw in Ukraine.
What I saw in Ukraine was a nation of freedom loving Christians trying hard to fight for their existence against an invading power that wants to enslave them.
They want to be part of Europe and the West and they genuinely love and value freedom.
I really love these people. It’s such a beautiful country. You go to Kyiv and there’s no mental Hamas rallies, no crazy jihadists. You don’t risk being mugged in the street like in London.
There are beautiful Christian cathedrals with glinting golden domes everywhere. If Russia wasn’t bombing Kyiv every night it would be one of the safest and nicest cities in Europe.
These people truly believe in the same things we believe in. I’m a big believer in Western civilisation and truly believe this is frontier in the fight right now to defend the West from a China-Russia-Iran alliance that wants to crush us.
China’s biggest geopolitical dream is to cleave off America and Europe. If they can split the free world in half they will have a much clearer path in the Asia-Pacific which harms us deeply in Australia. We have to care about what happens in Ukraine because enemy regimes which threaten us care very deeply about what happens here.

Over the past few days, I've seen numerous bad-faith arguments from the White House administration and its influencers about "stopping the war”. Only Putin can order his military to halt offensive operations: only that will end the active offensive. If Zelensky were to issue such an order, the war wouldn’t end, but instead, Russian forces would simply continue advancing. Putin has already rejected a truce, yet figures like Elon Musk, David Sacks, Marco Rubio, Mike Waltz, and various X influencers never ask him to stop.
Ukraine has no means to end the war, thus trying to portray Zelensky or Ukraine as a country that can end the war is a pure gaslighting
