This statement from JD Vance is stunning it its honesty, it also spells out the divide in the GOP between those who accept this reality, no matter how challenging it may be, and those who rail against it.

"The United States and Israel attacked Iran on February 28, 2026."
At that moment, me, and every other non-shill on this platform said the same thing: Maybe this can go like Venezuela, but if this drags on into Forever War territory and we're still there by the midterms, it's going to be an absolute bloodbath.
And sure enough, that's exactly what happened.
Is DEM mail-in ballot harvesting absolutely unconstitutional? Yes.
Is Trump's record really that bad? No it's not.
There's a million reasons. But at the end of the day, there's only one. The pieces fit because Trump ran on America First, and then he went to war, relatively pointlessly, in the Middle East. That's it.

What the political/media elites call ‘populism’, as they sneer at working people, is actually a logical reaction to the extensive public policy failures of the major parties over the past 20 yrs.
The best question to ask is: Name one public problem they have solved in that time.

Brilliant words of wisdom about the disruptive impact of mass migration.
One of the problems in Australia is the authors of this policy not living within cooee of the segregated ethnic enclaves it creates.
They don’t see the problem day-to-day while rhetorically worshipping at the altar of multiculturalism and fake notions of ‘kindness’ and ‘social harmony’.
These wholesale power prices... are they in the room with us right now?
Despite the urban myths, wholesale power prices in Australia are some of the lowest in the developed world. (And no, SA isn’t the highest in Australia) afr.com/policy/energy-and-cl…
I fear that. I just know that if you jailed Drew Pavlou that he would emerge more powerful than anyone could ever imagine. He has that vibe

Why is the leader of Australia's supposedly anti-migration party going to bat for big agribusinesses demanding faster access to foreign scab labour?
Pauline Hanson has turned up at Senate Estimates and is grilling officials over background checks delaying the arrival of FOREIGN agricultural and tourism workers. These are people taking up jobs Australians could do.
These businesses depend on cheap foreign labour, and Hanson is taking up their complaints in Parliament.
Australians who believe One Nation is serious about reducing migration have every right to ask whose interests the party is serving.
What the hell is going on?
You should be able to call government departments such as the ATO and Services Australia, and hear perfectly clear Aussie English on the other end of the line.
Harsh foreign accents and mumbled, mispronounced, ESL English have got to go.

Donald Trump is the only right-wing figure in the West this century to actually roll back gains of the left, to actually win and for it to mean something.
One of his more important achievements has been exposing what I call the noble loser. The conservative who prefers a moral trophy for being pure over actually winning. That was John McCain, that was Mitt Romney, and that is, it would seem, Andrew Hastie.
Winning isn’t an end in itself. It’s how you secure the future for your people and the values you claim to represent.
These conservatives claim to be principled, but their principles are usually about decorum, civility and process. They sacrifice the very things they entered politics to defend in order to preserve their own reputations for integrity.
There is no dignity in losing. This isn’t a game where you can win a medal for fair play and sportsmanship.
As @RogerJStoneJr says, “Losers don’t legislate.”
Principled failure is still failure.

I want to know why right wing journalists do not have a boot on the throats of left wing politicians. (This is a metaphor by the way for anyone who is an idiot.)
They should be forced to disavow far-left extremism.
Every time an establishment right wing journalist questions Labor on the Helen Haines dirt sheet is a missed opportunity to hold them accountable for the ongoing rise in left wing violence.
There is a clear opportunity to demand left wing MPs wash their hands of the deranged lunatics in their movement, but nobody is doing it. The MPs get off scot free once again.
I want every right wing journalist and every right wing politician to ask Anthony Albanese and his fellow MPs a very simple question,
"Do you disavow left wing extremism?"
Every single Labor MP should be forced to answer that question.

The Australian government has admitted pressuring Facebook into demonetising us, due to an article written by far-left activist journalists at the ABC.
So much for freedom of the press.
And not only is the Australian government interfering with independent journalism, it is also giving the corporate media millions in grants, and forcing the tech companies to give those same billion-dollar companies tens of millions more.
The demonetisation happened in August, and weren't going to mention it and give the ABC reporters the satisfaction, but now that the government is confirmed to be involved we are compelled to speak out about it.
Australians should know that their government is suppressing media outlets they don't like, and buying off the rest.
