A politically conservative union can still be an institution of genuine working-class power. A revolutionary organization, meanwhile, does not become an institution of working-class power by simply adopting a revolutionary program.

My union actually has the power and experience to maintain CBAs, wages, pensions, healthcare, apprenticeship programs, hiring halls, and representation systems. This isnt abstract commitment to the working class. It is an institution.

Now, is my union currently capable of developing that power beyond the limits of particular crafts, employers, contracts, and industries? No. But no contemporary American socialist organization has overcome those limitations either.

Malfoid is quietly becoming a symbol of the West's cultural counter-revolution. In a world increasingly starved of romance, devotion and anything worth building a future around, a fictional girl seems to have awakened something long dormant.

fascinated by the downwardly mobile 27-34 year old guy who experienced an early win but struck out and never recovered. he has a bachelor's degree, professional upper-middle class parents and aspires beyond a 9-5 but can't build any momentum and is actively struggling

It’s funny how, in the bible, Nimrod is a Mesopotamian king, the great grandson of Noah and a mighty hunter, but because Daffy Duck once mockingly referred to Elmer Fudd as “my little Nimrod” everyone associates it with being a dumbass now

Where I grew up you could run down to the packy to grab a rack and a sleeve of nips and none of it was racial or sexual

There’s real pride in surviving hard work and long hours inherent to blue collar work. But too many guys turn that pride into just another form of self-pity It becomes “I suffered, so I’m better than you, and you should have to suffer too.”

There is honor in bearing pain that cannot be avoided. There is no honor in preserving avoidable pain merely because it once happened to us.

A worker with dignity takes pride in having endured brutal conditions while still fighting to ensure nobody else must endure them. Get up off your knees.
