As a country we need to ask ourselves critical questions in as far as this Bayern Munich vs Ajax game is concerned;
1). Why sponsor two European clubs only to come and launch a stadium while we have alot of problems to deal with?
2). Our lecturers are on strike, we do not have enough medication in hospitals, patients die everyday, university students have no fees, we have poor roads, our roads are narrow causing road accidents everyday, where is our priority as a country?
3). We are told that this is intended to market and place Kenya in the global arena, what do we stand to benefit interms of resources if these two teams play at Talanta Stadium? Why must we market Talanta Stadium? It could have been a good idea if it was JKIA.
4). Yesterday Bayern Munich clarified in their official channels that the game will feature retired players like Frank Ribery, Bastian Shwastiger etc, so we are bringing old retired people to play in Kenya ๐ค๐ค
If this was an airport then it could have been a good idea as we need to compete with other International airlines. This is just a stadium, honestly this is a misplaced priority if you ask me. Taxpayers should not cater for Bayern Munich and Ajax, rich European clubs paying players millions of Shillings. It is a shameful idea from the government.
We need to go to that Stadium and sing WANTAM, RUTO MUST GO for 90 Minutes. Hii ni upuzi!
