Kim Hyeyoon was mentioned by Jung Hyunjoo a content creator who previously worked as a television writer, when Jung Hyunjoo shared impressions after reading the novel Baek Beon-ui Eoje (백 번의 어제) also known as A Hundred Yesterdays. Jung Hyunjoo: “When I was reading A Hundred Yesterdays, it felt like I was reading an unusual novel. But once I finished it, it was as if the end credits immediately started rolling. Scene after scene kept unfolding before my eyes, almost as if I had just binge watched a 14 episode drama. The cast I envisioned for this novel would be Kim Hyeyoon as Jung Jinsol, Park Jinyoung as Yoon Gyumin, and Lee Jungeun as Hyesun.” Jung Hyunjoo's comments naturally got readers imagining the novel's potential as a screen adaptation. About A Hundred Yesterdays : A Hundred Yesterdays is a full length novel by author Tae Irin that tells a time loop romance story. The story begins when Jinsol travels back one year to prevent the death of Gyumin the person Jinsol loves. However, time travel in this novel is more than just a fantasy device. Every time the past is changed, Jinsol's present life changes as well. Jinsol's family and friends, even Gyumin the person Jinsol loves, no longer recognize Jinsol. As a consequence of turning back time, Jinsol's very existence gradually begins to disappear. Nevertheless, Jinsol keeps returning to the past to save Gyumin. Each time Jinsol manages to prevent one death, another accident awaits Gyumin and Gyumin always loses his life for a different reason. Jinsol repeats this cycle of failure 99 times. After witnessing 99 deaths and reliving 99 yesterdays, Jinsol finally arrives at the 100th present. This time, can Jinsol change their fate? What makes this novel particularly compelling is not simply the repeated deaths but the love between its two protagonists, which gradually unfolds through each of these events. For Jinsol, the cruelest part is not just Gyumin's repeated deaths. Jinsol must also face the reality that everyone has forgotten Jinsol. Although Jinsol is still alive, Jinsol has to endure overwhelming loneliness, as if Jinsol had never existed in the first place. Yet, despite having to bear that loneliness, Jinsol continues to return to Gyumin. Beneath its time travel fantasy premise, the novel explores profound questions about memory, existence, choices, and fate. In a world where being loved also means having one's existence acknowledged, the novel portrays a kind of love that is willing to sacrifice everything for another person without expecting anything in return. abcn.kr/news/articleView.htm…
