Tbh, this is the first time in eons that our Naira can maintain close-band stability for months without burning our reserves to defend it. Sustained productivity gains will eventually reconcile purchasing power with price discovery. So I don’t think it would get worse lol.

A 30+ year old in my country is still not financially stable enough to marry, and still singing on your mandate. While a 21 year old is hailing about nelfund. Somebody say REFORMS 😂😂

They genuinely don’t understand what they’re talking about! I remember when I was undergoing antibiotic treatment for H. pylori, a stomach infection. I experienced a terrible alteration in my sense of taste for about 15 days. Omo! 😭😭 Even ordinary water tasted horrible in my mouth. Yoghurt became so bitter that I could barely enjoy anything. I was constantly frustrated and complaining to my wife. One day, she casually told me, “Lol, that’s how I felt from the time I became pregnant until I delivered.” 😭😭😭 That statement humbled me! Coz I can’t imagine not enjoying my food/taste for one month. 😭😭 During her pregnancy with our first child, my wife suffered terribly from heartburn. She was constantly taking Gaviscon for relief. In fact, we even took Gaviscon to the labour room on the day of delivery! 😂 But guess what? The moment our son was born, the heartburn disappeared! She never needed Gaviscon again. The relief was MASSIVE! Imagine enduring that discomfort for almost nine months, alongside all the other challenges of pregnancy! And that’s even before we start talking about the pain and risks associated with childbirth. Most women I’ve met since I moved abroad and opened up to me about their childbirth experience, had CS. 😭😭 Pregnancy and childbirth are incredibly demanding, physically and emotionally. Having witnessed my wife go through pregnancy and childbirth twice, I have developed an even deeper respect for women who choose to become mothers. Please, let’s stop trivialising what women go through. Pregnancy and childbirth are difficult like mad! ❤️🙏
With the way Twitter men see pregnancy, God for just run this thing and let the role be reversed for men to be pregnant and women can rest 😩😩😩😩 People die from labour and yes for 9months you sometimes think about death that you just might not be back alive. From week 8 to 38, I was told I would have to do CS. I lived with that because I am better informed but ended up delivering naturally. Imagine someone telling you that you can die or live in 9months o. Esp in Nigeria, don’t even tell a Nigerian woman living in Nigeria that rubbish of “is preg a death sentence”. We know the yeye healthcare we have. Few weeks ago, a family member went to do endoscopy because we were worried about stomach pain and we have done normal scan, CT scan and other blood work. We coughed half a million just for the procedure. One yeye boy that can’t bring out 200k go follow them dey chant “preg is not a death sentence”. Make Una no vex me this morning!

Whether pregnancy is a death sentence or not, I can’t say. But metaphorically speaking, I can understand why someone would describe it that way. That thing is hard like mad!! 😭😭 Most men will never experience even half of what an average woman goes through during pregnancy and childbirth! I honestly don’t blame career women who choose not to get pregnant or decide to have just one child. Pregnancy and childbirth demand so much from women, physically, emotionally, and even professionally. Huge respect to women who choose to become mothers! ❤️🙏

If you like, move to saner climes and keep calling your female colleagues “dear” or, as a male patient, call your female doctors “dear” instead of addressing them by their title or name. You’ll see what you’re looking for. Because tell me: would you address your male colleagues or male doctors as “dear”? Extend the same professional courtesy to women !!!

For the mentally stunted people who will foam in the mouth at this post, The point I am making is that the same me who had a big baby by myself struggled with another baby. The same me who bathed my own baby the morning after, was readmitted at six weeks after second baby because my health was failing. Pregnancy may not guarantee death, but it is so crazy how many things can go wrong with mom or baby. You people are devilish. Like nasty asswipes all of you… including mummy zee. That stupid pickme bitch can cook for whoever she wants. It’s her choice and I respect it. But invalidating the experiences of millions of women… just so dumb ass men can praise you … that’s some next level retardation.

And tbh some of you doctors, especially male ones are tone deaf and lacking empathy. I wonder how you attend to your patients in real life; for their sake I hope you are more reasonable offline.

Una too funny. Someone said that pregnancy felt like a death sentence for her, she was talking from personal experience, and you people made it seem like she made an absolute statement regarding every woman. Smh

😱🤯and you typed this out ?
You people are sleeping in scent leaf No woman should have a smelly private part when you have scent leaves growing at the back of your house. After your period, boil scent leaves and bitter leaves together, sit over the steam, and let it enter your private area. When you’re done, use the scent leaves to wash down there. Scrub your inner tigh like your life depends on it, then rinse with boiling water. You’re welcome

Men: Young kings Women: Bitch Thank God you have a daughter
On the average, 8 out of every 10 ladies who are living alone often have their rent being subsidised or outrightly paid by men that they aren't married to. If you are in doubt of my hypothesis, you can simply use Cintey's logic to analyse the situation. Cintey's only concern with other men going to sleepover at a woman's place is simply because the person who paid the rent may also show up unannounced and it would end up causing a scene; Cintey has personally witnessed such situation first hand. Young kings, please stop sleeping over at your b*tch's' house. When you want to do the do, invite her over to your space or better still, lodge her in a hotel. Don't get yourself embarrassed or killed over a public toilet where every Tom Dick and Harry is pissing.

Gynecologist my ass Look at the way you’re being dismissive about it s if you’ve carried several pregnancies to arrive at this conclusion. You’re not even empathetic towards women whom have lost their lives. That “death sentence” isn’t supposed to be translated in its literal form just so you know
so we can close this discussion forever... take this from one of the best person on the TL to educate you on this subject matter. PREGNANCY IS NOT A DEATH SENTENCE. now, start preaching this gospel... so to out can sound like an elite when you talk with an international community. It's OK to not like someone... but not on this X would we allow people pander fear. Again, PREGNANCY IS NOT A DEATH SENTENCE.

Sir read again. This time read to understand cos then you will see where she said the guy doesn't cook
I used to include all those condiments in my food when I was still a bachelor. Seeing spices like coriander, cumin, rosemary, basil, paprika, parsley and oregano in a man's kitchen doesn't necessarily mean that the man is already cheating with another babe who is a chef. Some men are just very comfortable with making their meals to their own taste, and I am one of such men. In fact ehn, the first time my then fiancée (now wife) ever visited me in my house, if I'd finished cooking before her arrival, she could have concluded in her mind that it was another lady that did the cooking. I think I understand your acquaintance's concerns because my babe almost break up with me after her first visit to my house. She felt that she may not be able to cope with a man that cooks his meal perfectly well and very tasty too. It was her flatmate that talked her out of it and it was much later she told me about it. 😁😁

You want to pay for the children’s school fees, you didn’t go to meet the widowed wife but you went to tell the grandfather who maybe never say the children, doesn’t even know their ages nor know the school they attend. You are foolish… This is clout-chasing & every human being using the death of a young man to chase clout will meet their end. This is wickedness & not kindness

I don’t believe that was the context in which the original tweet was made. She said, “Pregnancy felt like a death sentence”, which many people can relate to through their own experiences. It’s unclear how the use of a simile has become a subject of contention. Patients often use similes to describe their symptoms or how they feel. That doesn’t make their descriptions wrong. Taking a simile literally and using that as a counterargument misses the point of what was expressed and instead comes across as invalidating her experience and that of many others in similar circumstances..

This ws exactly my situation some 8 yrs ago when my wife was giving me premium pressures to relocate out of naija. That we should sell our house, landed properties, 3 cars etc. However, I strongly noticed she might become uncontrollable outside, so, I stood my ground. Glad I did.
