You can catch a bounce in the mania names, the more insane the better.
But a broad sectoral weakness won't resolve until the close, and certainly not before any actual selling took place.
Every time we're ~2% off ATHs, people who have only ever seen a runaway bull market, who make it a point of pride to never think beyond TA, start posting how it's a generational buying opportunity, crowding into the same overextended mania stonks.
Every time the market pulls back, the X timeline starts filling up with comparisons to 2008 or 2022.
Ask yourself a few simple questions:
- Are companies growing earnings?
- Are revenues improving?
- Are they generating real profits and cash flow?
- Are market leaders still fundamentally improving?
Don’t use one single metric - yields, valuation, seasonality, technicals, whatever it may be as your entire reason to buy or sell.
There are definitely risks in this market, and I have no idea where the exact bottom of this pullback will be.
But from a risk/reward perspective, I like where we are today much more than chasing the June 2 highs.
Time to jump in, all aboard the Trump pump & dump train!

Garbage coins are so hot right now, everybody wants to get some random garbage coins
These shitco's are fundamentally donuts.
Big fat zero.
You buy the dip a thousand times, and it works every time.
Then you buy the dip a dozen more times, and you give it all back.

My thesis is that when you think a mania is "normal", you'll keep buying every bounce all the way to the poorhouse
We do not realize how fast we ran up. I was looking at TopD - Even after giving back 35 to 60%, we are still up quite a bit from the yearly low.
Look at the list below. The first column is
% Gain from the low this year
The second column is
% retracement from the high of this year
$SNDK - we are still up about 460%, giving back over 40%
$AXTI and $AAOI have the biggest retracement, about 70% and 60%
$NBIS - is down about 45% - This is difficult-to-beat growth story and execution
The thing that stands out,
The majority of the drop occurred over just 3- to 4-week period.
My thesis is that big money is acting like retail, swinging and day trading.
This is the correct take here.
People change, all the time.
They grow. They degenerate.
Platner isn't going door to door raping people.
If he's not charged with a crime, make sure it doesn't happen again.
Go forward.
Replying to @matthewstoller
The honest reckoning here is to admit error and make sure it doesn't happen again. But that's not going to happen, because they can't even see they live in fear.
Trillions of profits from a billion dollar business.
Why haven't we thought of this before..?!
If you think it's reasonable that billions of corporate cost savings from a half-baked technology will result in trillions of profits for cyclical commodity co's, it's also perfectly reasonable to hold the stonk all the way down, while hoping for another 10x after a 10x run.
Micron $MU
Every stock has a character, and $MU is no different.
Historically, it makes 100-200% runs, then pulls back 20-30% (or tests the 50-day SMA), consolidates for a few months, and starts the next leg higher.
Perspective:
- Market Cap: $1T
- Operating profit (next 3 years): $500B (E)
Read that again.
I'm still holding my full position from the $380's.
When you cling on to the last bubble, might as well throw your money out the window.
last cycle I publicly bought the solana bottom at ~$15, it was one of the highest pnl trades of my career
I think we have another chance to do it again here
I'm heavily accumulating spot in the blue zone
We need to invest into the bubble more, apparently.
Don't worry Wolfgang, bitcoin fixes this.
Right..?
Right..???
here is me talking about our lead story this morning - about the German pension reforms - a lost opportunity to create a functioning capital market that could stem the investments that are currently not happening.

Started moving off base 3x lower.
Don't worry, you'll be able to buy all your fill at that price in a few days, again.
$FSLR - When an 18-year base starts moving, you pay attention.
One of the largest bases in the entire market is starting to wake up. ⚡️
