I don't think most LPs have caught on yet -- but, those who have absolutely ate on @aeroxyz yesterday.
100% of Smart Fees > 75% of basic fees.
Aero vs. Uniswap – almost 24 hours into my little LP experiment!
Two LP NFTs on Base. Same WETH/USDC pair, around $10 each, nearly identical ±5% price ranges.
And things got pretty wild!🔥
At one point, fee APRs were flirting with 600%! Of course, that's just a short period annualized, not actual yearly earnings.
Here's the real picture from Revert Finance:
🦄 Uniswap v3: 239% fee APR
🛫 Aero: 323% fee APR
Pure trading fees. No AERO emissions or extra incentives.
Honestly, both positions are behaving pretty similarly!
Aero has a slight edge so far, but one day tells us very little. Both positions are still slightly underwater despite earning fees.
And that's the fun of LPing. You're running a little trading business, managing inventory, collecting fees and watching the market move through your range.
I'd love to repeat this with wider ranges, maybe ±10-15+%, and track everything for weeks or even months.
That's when the real differences might start showing up.
For now, just enjoying the experiment and sharing the numbers as they come in.

New live experiment: Aero vs. Uniswap!
👀 Two new LP NFTs just landed on Base!
Same network: Base.
Same pair: WETH/USDC.
Almost identical price ranges: ±5%.
Around $10 deposited into each pool.
I usually prefer wider LP ranges, but this time I deliberately went narrower.
Not to chase crazy APRs, but to make the comparison more interesting!
⚙️ Two DEXs. Two similar liquidity positions. Let's see how these little onchain trading businesses perform.
And check out the 4th screenshot.
I'm using Revert Finance to track my positions.
Interestingly, it also offers USDC loans against eligible Uniswap LP NFTs!
That's another fascinating DeFi mechanic we'll explore together later.
The amounts are tiny on purpose. This isn't about making money from $10.
It's a hands-on experiment to compare two LP NFTs running side by side – one on Aero, the other on Uniswap.
I want to watch them in real time, see how each position behaves, how trading fees accumulate, and how their performance differs under similar market conditions.
First comparison after 24 hours. Then we'll keep tracking!
🎩 DeFi feels a lot like playing Monopoly.
You keep buying up assets – properties in the game – and let them generate cash flow.
In DeFi, those productive assets are revenue-sharing protocols and yield strategies.
Onchain money machines, printing $ as the market keeps moving.

Everything is copllapsing:
📉Goolge is down 25% this week, $1T of MC gone.
📉Intel is down 30% today, $100B of MC gone.
📉Binance sees $6B hack.
And Bitcoin is down 3%...
👀 APRs are heating up for sAERO allocators.
Trading volumes are picking up in the pools I've backed, and these markets are busy printing fees. Aero distributes 100% of its exchange revenue to sAERO allocators, based on their share of voting power.
That's what makes this so interesting: real trading activity turning into real cash flow!
Some of my sAERO NFT allocations are showing 17–28% APR right now. These rates move with market activity, of course.
But the really fun part starts when I hit Claim!
Some rewards land as tokenized stocks – Amazon, Nvidia, Apple and more.
I can stack them, trade them, or even use eligible ones as collateral on Aave to borrow other assets. Some underlying stocks also pay dividends, which can be reinvested in their tokenized versions.
And then there's DIEM 🤖
One of my sAERO positions earns DIEM from the USDC/DIEM pool.
This one's especially cool! @askvenice has turned access to AI computing power into a tradable token.
Claim DIEM, stake it on Venice, and each token gives you $1 in fresh API credits every day.
Credits you can use to run models like GPT, Claude, DeepSeek, or power your own AI agents!
Just think about that.
Trading activity generates cash flow. That cash flow can become stock exposure, collateral for loans, or fuel for AI agents.
And those assets open up even more possibilities.
Meanwhile, everyone can spend all day staring at candles, arguing about the Fed and guessing the next rate cut.
Sure, that's part of the market.
But there's a much deeper layer underneath. Real businesses, trading fees, productive assets and capital working across entirely different markets.
I absolutely love this game.
The more I explore, the more opportunities I discover. And I love sharing these experiments with you.
Saw Base announce that more tokenized stocks are now live.
Naturally, I opened Aero to see what was there. And there they were: Sony. Nokia.
I actually smiled. A little nostalgic, maybe even emotional. These are names I grew up with – companies I used to think of as belonging to traditional stock exchanges. Now I'm looking at them in an onchain liquidity terminal.
And somehow I still get that “wait, this is real?” feeling.
Couldn't resist. I put a whole $10 into the USDC/SONYc liquidity pool just to try it. 🏄♂️
I've provided liquidity for years, sometimes with much bigger amounts. But I'm using tiny amounts again on purpose. That's the beauty of DeFi: you can start experimenting with even $1, explore liquidity pools, earn fees, or get into voting. You don't need to be wealthy to start learning!
A concentrated price range, USDC alongside tokenized Sony exposure, and the chance to earn trading fees in the pool's assets while the position is active. Of course, there's price risk, and fees stop when the position goes out of range.
Then I checked the sAERO allocation market.
Sony pool: 16.2% voter APR.
Nokia pool: 18.5%.
These are live snapshots, not fixed yields. Volume, voting competition and incentives can change everything.
But think about the possibilities. You can trade tokenized stocks. Provide liquidity and earn fees in the assets themselves, or choose AERO rewards. Or stake AERO, allocate your voting power, and receive a share of the fees generated by those markets, plus any extra voter incentives.
A whole little onchain economy around familiar companies.
And honestly, the new Aero @aeroxyz is a joy to use. I like the experience even more than the old Aerodrome. Cleaner, simpler, more intuitive.
Huge credit to the team ❤️
Maybe one day we'll stop saying “tokenized stocks.” We'll just say “stocks,” because the rails underneath won't be the interesting part anymore.
We're not there yet. But seeing Sony and Nokia on Aero today genuinely gave me that wow feeling again.
Still experimenting, still learning. And enjoying every minute of it.

When @yieldbasis succeeds, ethereum:0xf939e0a03fb07f59a73314e73794be0e57ac1b4e becomes the intermediating currency in DeFi.
- Lending becomes super efficient on @CurveFinance (which starts to compete with Aave)
- Leverage becomes cheap (25x with liquidation protection)
- You have a lot of FX pools pair with crvusd because of the route efficiency between blue chips (more DEX fees)
- scrvusd becomes the best permissionless money market available on-chain
Study the Eurodollar. This is what crvusd would become.
Providing liquidity takes you through a few stages.
One day you're in love with it. The next, you're disappointed.
And so it goes, year after year.
But each time, you dig a little deeper and understand the DeFi kitchen a little better.
Eventually, it either becomes a serious professional business, or you take all that hard-earned experience and put it to work in new ways.
For me, it turned into a mix of both, in my own way.
I've mostly moved from being an LP to playing the veGame.
Now I use my voting power to direct juicy token emissions toward pools, attracting liquidity providers looking for better yields.
I collect my cut of trading fees alongside LPs, plus incentives from other protocols competing for votes – what we used to call “bribes.”
Still playing in the same DeFi kitchen. Just on a different side of the business.
And I love it!
Everyone dumping CVX? Meanwhile, someone's quietly scooping up six figures.
@ConvexFinance – one of DeFi's most underrated, battle-tested businesses, in my opinion. And barely anyone's talking about it. I actually love that.
And here’s the juicy part: CVX is becoming seriously scarce. New emissions are practically exhausted, and a huge chunk of the supply is locked up. If demand starts heating up again, we could see a pretty wild supply squeeze.
Here's what cracks me up about market psychology.
When nobody's talking about an asset, volumes are quiet and the price gets hammered, people call it risky, sketchy, maybe even dead.
But let it do a 10x or 100x, get every big influencer talking about it, and suddenly it's a BLUE CHIP! 😂
Funny how that works.
The fundamentals don't automatically become better just because the price goes vertical.
And no giant is untouchable. Not even the biggest names in crypto or TradFi.
To me, a real blue chip isn't something the crowd tells you to buy.
It's something you've spent hundreds, maybe thousands of hours studying. You understand the business, the cash flow, the risks, the tokenomics, the whole machine.
Of course, even then you can be wrong.
But I'd rather do my homework before the crowd arrives than wait for a 20x and someone on YouTube to tell me it's finally safe.
Conviction comes from understanding, not popularity.
Quick check-in from the LP kitchen!
Not even 24 hours into my Aero vs. Uniswap experiment, and both WETH/USDC fee machines are already heating up on Base.
Same pair, around $10 each, roughly ±5% ranges.
🦄 Uniswap v3: 329% fee APR
🛫 Aero: $0.05 411% fee APR
Yep, we're talking cents. That's the point! I'm here to watch the mechanics, not flex the payout.
Trading has been hot, and both pools have been printing fees even though the positions haven't spent 100% of the time in range.
Those APRs look wild, but they're just short-term snapshots, not sustainable yields. Both positions are still slightly negative on total PnL.
I usually prefer wider ranges, ±10% or more. Less concentrated, sure, but more room to breathe and potentially more time collecting fees.
With narrow ranges, the fee machine can go quiet pretty fast.
For now, I'm just enjoying watching these two little onchain trading businesses work side by side while the market runs hot.
Full 24-hour check next. Let's see how these machines keep cooking!

Volatility & $YB is great again
first real volatility test for the new @yieldbasis WETH propAMM.
in just one hour:
$17.7m trading volume
$275k swap fees
$15m TVL
1,220% annualized trading APY (1D)
market volatility is your yield.
just the beginning.
Live from the onchain trading floor. These pools are cooking! 🔥
Just look at Aero's last 48 hours:
WETH/cbBTC — $47K in fees
WETH/USDC — $41.6K
WETH/USDT — $33.6K
USDC/MSTRc — $15K
Even tokenized stocks are getting in on the action!
This is what I love about DeFi.
The market gets busy, volume flows, and these little onchain businesses start printing trading fees.
LPs on Aero, Uniswap and other DEXs can enjoy the action too.
Just don't get too greedy with razor-thin ranges. Once price moves outside your range, the fee machine goes quiet until you're back in.
Meanwhile, sAERO allocators can direct voting power toward active pools and earn a share of eligible revenue. Different game, same market heartbeat.
And then there's Yield Basis. No babysitting narrow ranges – its automated mechanics aim to manage divergence loss while capturing trading fees.
⚙️I love watching all these engines work in real time.
Fresh fees, real trading activity, productive capital doing its thing.
🛫 When the new Aero @aeroxyz launched with Predictive Allocation, I had my eye on one pool from day one: USDC/MSTRc on Base.
I immediately allocated part of my sAERO voting power there. And I haven't touched it since!
Why?
@Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) is basically a stock with a huge Bitcoin story behind it. You get interest from both the stock market and the crypto crowd.
My thinking was simple: this pool probably won't cool down anytime soon. 🔥
So far, I'm loving the results!
• MSTRc: $18.1M trading volume in 24 hours.
• My allocation: 19.3% APR right now, hovering around 15–20% since I started tracking it.
And here's my favorite part.
I'm not constantly trading or jumping between pools. I'm watching real market activity turn into a live stream of fees and rewards for sAERO allocators.
Love this approach: identify an active market, allocate your voting power, and watch its economics play out in real time. 🏄♂️
A little slice of a 24/7 onchain trading business.
Picked up another 3,259 YB @yieldbasis today. More for my permanent veYB lock.
Prices get hammered, everyone panics, and I just keep DCAing, improving my average.
What I love about Yield Basis is the business underneath. When volatility hits and trading volumes explode, these pools get busy printing fees.
🌱 Fresh, organic yield. A business that runs on the market's heartbeat.
And the juicy part? My veYB rewards come in BTC- and ETH-linked LP tokens that can keep earning trading fees themselves. More income on top of income.
That's the kind of productive capital I enjoy stacking.
No rush. Just building my collection of onchain cash-flow businesses, one DCA at a time.
Bought more Yield Basis (YB) today.
Yes, that chart looks painful :) Down roughly 95% from its peak.
But I'm not buying a chart.
I keep accumulating DeFi assets I consider fundamentally valuable, using DCA instead of trying to guess the bottom.
A falling price alone means nothing. What matters is what's happening under the hood.
Yield Basis continues developing its BTC and ETH liquidity infrastructure, improving trading efficiency and the economics of its pools.
I also voted on the latest governance proposals. That's another beautiful part of DeFi: you can participate in shaping the protocols you invest in.
My plan is to lock the YB I accumulate for the maximum term, potentially permanently, and participate in its future cash flows.
This is exactly what
🟩 Defitea Yield Fund is about: building a long-term collection of productive DeFi assets.
And Defitea is just one layer of
⬜️ The Holding @theholding_ , alongside our BTC, ETH and precious metals foundation, stablecoin strategies and other capital engines.
Some of these assets may eventually experience a major revaluation. Others may not.
I'd rather study, accumulate and build during quiet markets than discover these opportunities only when everyone is euphoric.
One purchase at a time. One more piece of the capital architecture.
Volatility is putting Yield Basis to work!
I voted for proposal #60, bringing the new propAMM to WETH. It uses Pyth prices and dynamic fees to capture more value from trading activity.
The latest results?
• $17.7M in trading volume
• $275K in swap fees
• Another $130K in pending admin fees
All during a burst of market volatility!
One of my long-term strategies is permanently locking YB for veYB.
And here's what I love most.
My cash flow comes in productive LP tokens backed by BTC and ETH liquidity.
These tokens can keep earning trading fees themselves. If I leave them unstaked, those fees accumulate inside the pools, increasing the value of my LP shares over time.
So I'm not just earning rewards. My rewards can keep earning more rewards.
That's the beauty of productive onchain capital. 🌱
