The judge has ordered the government to explain why the brothers’ habeas petition should not be granted, challenging the legality of their continued detention.
The deadline is Friday, October 23.
The government must address the relevant legal arguments and provide the documents and evidence necessary for the court to evaluate the case.
This is a crucial step in the brothers’ fight for release.
Tomorrow, the government must finally present its arguments in response to their challenge against their detention.
In my opinion, there’s nothing that can justify their 100+ days of detention in solitary confinement.
In their case, you can easily release them on house arrest with monitoring.
