CHANNEL Messenger beta is open for limited testing on iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and Android. Current builds include text, media, documents, location sharing, voice and video calls, and offline device-to-device connections over Bluetooth, Wi-Fi Direct, and LAN, plus internet delivery through a relay. Post-quantum cryptography is enabled in the beta. After release it will be free for 2 months, then $4.95/month; a free tier keeps all features except internet messaging. CHANNEL Messenger is getting closer to release. This messenger is one of the most secure and privacy oriented messenger soon to be on the market and is available now for limited beta testing on iOS, iPadOS, and MacOS platforms as well as Android devices. The link below is for Apple devices and I can get you a link for Android testing if you send me a message. While this app is still in the development and testing stage it already supports text messaging, location sharing, image and video and document sharing, voice and video calling, local direct device to device connections without internet via Bluetooth, Wifi Direct, and LAN connections and with internet via IP6 direct to device connections and general Internet via a secure Relay. It's already shipping Post-Quantum cryptography at a level rarely seen in messengers. The MacOS install even includes an API where you can create profiles managed by your own AI account(s). You can create up to 10 profiles, each with their own security settings (Whatsapp only offers 2). Informal and Formal groups (with admins) are there as well. The goal was to do all the important features other messengers offer but to do them better and with more security. Other apps say they're free but you pay for them with your mom's private information. Bug reports and suggestions are of course welcome. Once released the app will be free for 2 months then $4.95/month thereafter - free version will include all features except internet messaging thereafter. I am in the process of adding an API to the macOS version of CHANNEL messenger. This API is designed specifically to be used for allowing your own AI account to own a messaging profile within channel. Obviously, the more powerful you make a feature like this, the more dangerous it can become if misused by the user, and that will all be disclosed in hopes that a user will use it responsibly. I am going to attach the working planning document, and if you have comments, they will be welcome as the feature is built out for beta testing…. channelmessenger.net/ai-api/
