If this happened in the private sector the CEO would be fired immediately, but not the untouchable Jim Harra and his merry band of exterminators…… What hope of solving #LoanCharge with this level of stupidity going on 🤷‍♂️ thetimes.co.uk/article/hmrc-…

Inequity of #LoanCharge in one sentence, TAXED MORE THAN TOTAL RECEIVED! "....the total tax charge on settlement could therefore end up being 150% or more of the amount actually received from the scheme." nitter.cf/RossMartinTax/status/1…

Can people on normal Incomes imagine the £150K tax bill landing on your door mat because although you've done nothing wrong, our tax collection authority were too incompetent to collect it from the real culprits years beforehand #LoanChargeScandal #LoanChargeSuicides
Replying to @gregwrightYP
What legalised extortion looks like. Instead of collecting right tax at the right time, with #LoanCharge HMRC used weaponised retro-tax process and morphed into Disguised Retrospection maximised revenues loan sharks. Not the way to go, if Govt wants to avoid more of these.

#HMRC covering up for their own incompetence and laughing about it. @rishisunak #LoanChargeScandal There have been ten suicides to date and tens of thousands of people living in misery, but you don't care. Why are you shielding the incompetents at #HMRC? This isn't going away.
Here's the person behind it, in case you're not familiar yet. Philip A. Gilbert from Sheffield, born 1962. He calls it "making it real" and the "tiger's roar".

There has to be proper legal accountability for ALL these people. The man on the street would be jailed for some of the things they’ve done simply because they can’t afford legal representation 😳🤬
The people who need to be sworn in under oath, & not just in front of a committee like @BorisJohnson but in front of a court, are @MelJStride @Jesse_Norman @lucyfrazermp @JimHarraHMRC Mary Aiston, Ruth Stainer & anyone who had a hand in #LoanCharge that has caused 10 suicides.

The U.K. government should stop framing the loan charge as a tax avoidance issue and see it as “a financial scandal that has all but destroyed trust” in the tax system, a tax lawyer said. 📰 Read more for free: taxnotes.co/3ZQLde7

To think all you need to buy a Tory (and a FST at that) is a measly 2500 pounds! Peace of mind has never been more affordable.... Why didn't anyone tell me back in 2004??????

**WARNING** to all @Apple #iPhone #iPhone14Pro users 1. Buy some cotton wool. A fall out of the pocket could cost you dearly. If you have the misfortune of requiring a simple 'lens' repair on the iPhone 14 Pro Max, expect to be flabbergasted. Apple CANNOT (will not) replace.

9. Got told by Apple support that a zero cost replacement could occur if I sent the item in. As the phone is for business and pleasure, I declined and asked if the stores could repair as it shocked me that they would just issue another device for something so small.....

10. Store ("genius" bar) tell me that the phone cameras cannot be replaced and therefore back to replacing the unit, this time with a £558 price tag!!!!! (including tax). Morally repugnant approach - perhaps @tim_cook would like to convince the Twitter world otherwise?
