Na, ‘cOmIcSgAtE’ isn’t a real thing, the organic movement created by its original founders lived and died for a couple of years max a very long time ago. The word was stolen by a lower than average out of work ‘artist’ turned scammer and used as a disengenuous badge to try and extract money from people left over from that movement, this was in the way of the first ‘we will win’ mantra with people buying his piss awful robot frog comic as nothing but a cult totem (not for its quality or inspired concept). Since then he’s created a very small cult of personality based on infighting and pitting low IQ fucks against each other and extracting significant amount of money from them in advance for products he won’t deliver. The word now is completely meaningless other than Comicsgate being the real name for fat Evans dead LLC. The real world of global indie comics is something completely different, Europe is especially fantastic with inspired artists and writers creating absolute gold and helping and energising each other, same with the US indie world it has some of the sickest IPs but the sickest artists and writers, most of which don’t want to work in the mainstream simply because it’s cooler being underground. That’s the real indie comic world. Obese Ethan Van Scammer and the mentally captive group of about 500-700 paypigs that don’t know better are nothing to do with that, and labelling yourself ’cOmIcSgAtE’ seals off all roads to progress, opportunity and credibility and simply serves to tell people that person is just a clueless moron. The overall standard of art and writing in that minuscule group of people is incredibly low too.
