You can not have a government that enforces property rights that doesn’t have the authority to define what is or is not your property.
It simply doesn’t work.
And I’m not sure there is a single libertarian on Earth that understands that.
Gaining several House seats nationwide from Trump’s redistricting BS is that little bit of spice that puts it over the top
The cope overfloweth
Abdul El-Sayed has won Michigan.
The Democrat defeated Republican Mike Rogers in a closely watched Senate race, making history as the first Muslim elected to the United States Senate. This is more than a personal victory; it is a major breakthrough for the progressive movement.
El-Sayed ran on issues that directly affect people's lives, including healthcare, the cost of living and the influence of big money in politics. His campaign also faced intense attacks over his faith and background.
But Michigan voters had the final say.
This result sends a powerful message: a candidate's identity should not be used as a substitute for debating their ideas, policies and ability to serve.
History has been made in Michigan.

Several figures here aren’t federal results or NY-specific. The $472B combines US wide pledges: Micron's $250B is nationwide (NY site $100B) Anthropic's $50B covers TX and NY. The 48% murder drop is from NY's state run GIVE program (28 departments, Jan – May 2026).

This guy legitimately has some of the most brain-dead takes I’ve ever seen on this hellsite.
Tuition-free college isn't free, Bernie. It simply transfers the bill from students to taxpayers.
And here's the irony: college attendance is disproportionately higher among wealthier families, yet your solution makes everyone pay, including poorer workers who never attended college.
You're demanding that people who never agreed to someone else's debt help pay it, often subsidizing individuals whose degrees will give them greater earning potential.
Apparently, holding someone responsible for a debt they voluntarily accepted is cruel, but forcing a poorer stranger to help pay it is compassion.
I didn’t say you could prove it from your kitchen table.
Every flerf is dishonest, but this one is especially so.
I’m also told they passed a law stating you can unbake a cake.
I’m calling bullshit.
Some MAGA still haven’t realized they’ve been rug pulled again and are claiming that we’ve taken Greenland.
Others know it and have already pivoted to their old go-to “the art of the deal”.
The few smarter ones will know we could have done all this without bullying an ally.
Trump’s biggest “wins” in the past 2 months have been convincing the RedHats to call a lake by a different name and getting a guarantee for the ability to run military ops out of Greenland (which we’ve had for 60 years).
Oh my, how “owning the libs” has fallen. 😂
Some on the right are complaining about gas prices.
Some say it doesn’t matter.
Still others say gas prices are bad but it’s worth it.
What I find strange is that I have seen none of them say “why do we still advocate for remaining handcuffed to the oil market?”
