🗓️ June 26, 2025 — In a legally binding disclosure, RPI (A) Manipur Vice President Sapamcha Kangleipal exposed a startling truth via an RTI application:

This revelation, verified by Dr. B.A. Ransing, Deputy Secretary of the Tribal Affairs and Hills Department, confirms:
🔹 No official recognition of the village exists.
🔹 The village is absent from all legitimate hill village records.
🔹 It is excluded from administrative frameworks such as village authority formation, hill house tax registration, socio-economic surveys, or rural development schemes.
🔹 No correspondence or documents exist to validate the village's claim to representation or authority.
So, we ask with clarity and constitutional concern:
Is the Manipur Government willing to explain how unauthorized settlements are being allowed to function outside the legal framework, while legitimate citizens struggle under red tape and scrutiny?
Is this silence not an invitation to unlawful occupation, demographic manipulation, and tax evasion under the guise of ‘village rights’?
As custodians of the Constitution, we urge the State Government to act in accordance with its own laws, to protect the integrity of governance, and to respond transparently.
