Two helicopters operated by Fishtail Air and Air Dynasty collided while attempting to land at Pheriche helipad in Nepal’s Everest region on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
The accident occurred at approximately 8:11–8:15 AM local time in Solukhumbu district, near Mount Everest.
According to reports citing Nepalese authorities, an Indian national travelling aboard the Fishtail Air helicopter was killed in the collision. A New Zealand national was among those reported injured. The injured were evacuated for medical treatment.
The two helicopters collided while approaching the helipad. Preliminary reports indicate that the rotor blades may have struck each other during the landing manoeuvre. The exact circumstances and cause of the collision remain under investigation.
Pheriche is an important helicopter landing point for trekkers, climbers and rescue operations in the Everest region. The incident has raised fresh concerns about aviation safety in Nepal's challenging high-altitude terrain.
Authorities are investigating the incident, and further details are awaited.

A private Learjet 60 carrying nine people plunged from 35,000 feet to a Florida street in just 80 seconds.
The pilots had requested permission to climb to 37,000 feet to escape turbulence and precipitation. But at extreme altitudes, the aircraft operates within a dangerously narrow speed window known as “Coffin Corner.”
Within seconds of beginning the climb, the jet reportedly entered an overspeed condition, plunging at nearly 20,000 feet per minute.
The pilots issued a desperate Mayday call, reporting a loss of control and banking. Moments later, the descent accelerated beyond 32,000 feet per minute.
Dashcam footage captured the aircraft plunging almost vertically onto Military Trail, next to a mobile home park, triggering a massive fireball.
Around 600 residents were evacuated. Miraculously, officials reported no injuries on the ground.
The NTSB investigation will determine what caused the disaster. The final radio calls, with air traffic control repeatedly calling the aircraft's registration number and receiving no response, are haunting.

🚨 Five young men from Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, are reportedly trapped in the Russian military after travelling to Russia in search of employment.
According to media reports published on November 2, 2026, the youths allegedly travelled expecting civilian jobs but ended up in the Russian military amid the ongoing Russia–Ukraine war.
Three of the five men were reportedly sent to the war frontline nearly two months ago. Their whereabouts remain unknown, leaving their families deeply worried about their safety.
The remaining two reportedly fear that they could also be deployed to the frontline within the next two days.
In a video appeal circulating on social media, the affected youths have reportedly sought urgent intervention from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and the Andhra Pradesh government to secure their release and bring them safely back to India.
The incident raises serious concerns about deceptive overseas employment offers and the vulnerability of Indian job seekers to recruitment-related exploitation.
The three missing men, their present whereabouts and safety remain unverified, and their families are awaiting urgent assistance.
