We are in a โstealthโ bear market.
For the first time in history, nearly 60% of the S&P 500โs components are in a bear market, while the index trades 3% away from a record high.
We think this is a historic opportunity.

๐บ๐ธ SpaceX is getting ready to attempt something absolutely INSANE: REFUELING TWO STARSHIPS IN ORBIT.
The company is targeting the first half of 2027, potentially as early as FEBRUARY, for its first orbital docking and refueling demonstration.
Two massive spacecraft will have to meet in space, dock, and transfer super-cold rocket propellant between them.
This is one of the BIGGEST technological hurdles standing between humanity and a return to the Moon, with enormous implications for future missions to Mars.
If SpaceX pulls this off, it could fundamentally change how humanity travels through space.

Palmer Luckey: โThe U.S. and China will be like their own universesโฆ and everybody else will be renting pieces of them.โ ๐บ๐ธ๐จ๐ณ
โThe U.S. and China will be in different worldsโฆ almost like their own universesโฆ and everybody else will be renting pieces of them. I think thatโs pretty likely.
There are a lot of people who look at a working-class American whoโs against taxation and regulation and say, โWhy is he voting against his own self-interest?โ
But a lot of them understand something that the supposed elites do not: that regulatory climate, the one that allows for massive American dominance in technology, manufacturing, and productivity, is what makes America what it is.
There are Americans who fundamentally understand that allowing innovation to happen is good for them. They understand that rockets going into space will make their lives better, even if itโs not directly.
There are hungry people who would rather see a billion dollars go toward that than a food stamp program that would put extra food in their pantry.
I donโt think you see that much in other countries.โ
Weโre not far off from reaching a global oligopolistic type universe โฆ where the two dominant powers control all essential outputs and everyone else is essentially renting space. Nations, countries, continents, all moving away from meaningful productivity growth, and becoming far too reliant on outdated economic metrics. Aggregate growth should be dependent on real output and not solely on fiscal spending and labor participation rates. We live in a world of slowing birth rates.

A retired NASA engineer who had worked on the Space Shuttle program for 25 years was hired by SpaceX at age 62. He described the first week as the most disorienting experience of his professional life.
At NASA, a design change required 3 meetings, 2 committees, a review board, and 6 to 18 months of documentation. At SpaceX, his new supervisor said "if it works, build it. If it doesn't, change it by Friday."
He sat at his desk after the first day and called his wife. He told her he felt like a man who had been swimming with ankle weights for 25 years and someone just cut them off. He could move. He could decide. He could build something in the morning and test it in the afternoon. The constraint that he had accepted as the nature of aerospace engineering turned out to be the nature of bureaucracy.
Within 6 months he had contributed to more design iterations than he had completed in his last 5 years at NASA. Not because he was working harder. Because the time between having an idea and testing the idea collapsed from months to hours. The same brain. The same knowledge. A different operating system.
He described a specific moment where he proposed a modification to a Raptor engine component. At NASA, the proposal would have entered a queue. At SpaceX, the modification was machined by the end of the day and tested by the following morning. He watched his idea become a physical object in 18 hours. At NASA, 18 hours would not have been enough to schedule the first meeting to discuss whether to schedule a meeting.
He told an interviewer: "I didn't get smarter when I went to SpaceX. I got faster. The intelligence was always there. The system was in the way."
The difference between SpaceX and NASA is not talent. NASA has extraordinary talent. The difference is the time between a thought and a test. SpaceX compresses it. NASA elongates it. The same engineer produces 10x more at SpaceX than at NASA because the bottleneck was never the engineer. It was the meetings about the meetings about the work.

U.S. CORE PCE FALLS BELOW EVERY ANALYST FORECAST
August core PCE came in at 3.0% YoY vs. 3.3% expected, below the entire range of 51 Bloomberg analyst forecasts (3.1%โ3.5%).
The surprise was driven primarily by larger-than-expected downward revisions to previous months, rather than August alone.
Monthly core inflation was also marginally softer at 0.247% vs. 0.27% expected.
