Just got access to the @superlogical beta and it's pretty great. Much smoother than any other solution I've tried for running multiple sessions/workspaces, where some are local and others on my Linux server.
Patrick Stewart’s memoir is only $3 right now on the new @readwise book store. I’m only a couple chapters in but really enjoying it. readwise.io/books/15982806/p…
Soldering together all these little boards for the ESP32, TTP223 and so on gets old... can't wait for my CNC to arrive so I can start just making PCBs.
A sheet of ferromagnetic steel covered with a thin silicone sheet makes for a great work surface for soldering and so on.
Azure seems to be having serious issues serving GPT 6 Luna. Sometimes it responds as expected and then it'll take 200 seconds for a rather small prompt (1000in/70out). Back to 5.6 for now but we might just go straight to OpenAI for this, free credits or not.
You go onto woodworking Youtube and there are a lot of useful videos but also they're like "how I set up my SMALL shop" and small is an entire 2-car garage.
I had Claude make a set of minigames that use the camera to do pose detection and then the players interact with the game itself. Cranked away for 90 minutes and it needs a bit of tweaking but it works surprisingly well. My kids will love this tomorrow.
I'm not sure if this is the worst CAPTCHA ever or if something more is going on. (Yes, it's literally just a checkbox.) Seeing this a few times a day now on Amazon...
These printable circular saw blade trays are pretty nice makerworld.com/en/models/267…
My Amazon personalization data was pretty boring… it has 2 entries about me having cats, and I have no pets at all. But everything else made sense so no fun jokes this time
Home ERP software came together nicely. The UI is still janky but its great to import my orders, have everything tracked, see my parts catalog and what I still need to buy, etc.
It's funny buying aluminum stock on Amazon because the parts are all actually metric (300mm) but listed as the closest inches (12"). And so I need to translate my metric requirements into inches and then back again when I actually import it into my ERP.
And yes, I know it's a little weird to buy aluminum stock off Amazon, but where I live, that and AliExpress are the only real options because of the shipping, and Amazon is actually surprisingly cheaper a lot of the time.
I updated the svelte-maplibre site with some actual documentation, not just examples. It was all Claude-generated since I wouldn't have gotten it done otherwise, but hopefully it'll help some people get started with mapping.

the main thing i dont get about Aliexpress is who ever thought this was an acceptable way to choose products. Click on 12 tiny nearly identical images so you can see the text labels and find the variant you actually want.
