🚨 NEW: Former Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has reportedly criticized the current owners of the club, Clearlake: 🗣 Roman Abramovich: “When you examine how the club is currently being managed, one thing becomes clear immediately. There is no shortage of funds available to invest, but the manner in which that money is being spent is the issue. I understand Chelsea supporters well, and I know what they expect. I do not believe the current owners are primarily focused on restoring the club to the very top. Their main concern appears to be the volume of spending and the financial returns that can be generated. Their approach resembles trading: buying assets when the price is lower and looking to sell when the value rises. The priority seems to be profit rather than building a sustained competitive project. Success at a club of Chelsea’s stature requires signing players who genuinely fit the long-term vision, not simply acquiring whoever is available with the intention of moving them on after a couple of seasons. A manager must be given the players he identifies as necessary for the project. With the right ownership and the right sporting leadership, Chelsea can return to the position it belongs.”
