To everyone losing their minds over the Prototype gear decision in Central Park... Prototype gear is NOT being removed from Central Park. It's being normalised. You can still use it! It will essentially be brought in line with a god-rolled High-End or Gear Set build. And quite frankly, this is 100% the correct decision. Central Park has been designed so that even newer players can jump in and enjoy the experience. It isn't content designed exclusively for players running the most ridiculously powerful endgame builds. If Prototype gear wasn't normalised, your first experience of Central Park might as well come with a SKIP button. You'd be so ridiculously overpowered that you'd steamroll through everything without experiencing the content as intended. They want you to enjoy the DLC. And surely you should want that too? I genuinely cannot believe I've woken up today to my socials going absolutely mental over this. People complaining, demanding refunds, acting like their entire experience has been ruined. Seriously? 😂 And I'm sorry, but the whole "I worked hard for my Prototype gear and now I can't use it" argument is ridiculous. Firstly, YOU CAN STILL USE IT. Secondly, what exactly is the expectation here? Should we carry our Prototype gear into The Division 3 as well? Start that game completely overpowered so we can skip through all that content too? There has to be a point where new content is allowed to be challenging, where progression matters, and where we actually get to experience something without immediately destroying everything in sight. Your Prototype gear hasn't suddenly become worthless because it won't allow you to trivialise a brand-new DLC. Get a grip. Enjoy Central Park. Experience the new content the way it's intended to be experienced. And let's be realistic... I'm sure it won't be long before we're all ridiculously overpowered again anyway. 😂 Sometimes I genuinely think this community has forgotten how to just enjoy a game.
