people often ask me why i love virat kohli as much as i do.
i’ve never looked at that guy as just a cricketer.
the guy went from being an aggressive, immature kid to one of the greatest athletes this country has ever produced. he didn’t lose that fire somewhere along the way. he learnt how to channel it.
i’m 19. dropped out of offline college this year, moved to blr. previously worked with a dubai-based startup. now working with a super cool founder in tech marketing / content.
figuring out my own career, building things and taking routes that don’t exactly come with the indian societal approval stamp or a conventional roadmap.
and honestly, a lot of how i approach life has a little virat in it.
he made me realise that being intensely ambitious doesn’t mean spending ur entire life trying to prove something to everyone.
u can chase greatness, love ur people, evolve as a person n still refuse to settle.
i look at him as a psychological case study of what happens when obsession, self-belief, emotional intensity n an almost unreasonable standard for urself come together.
his relationship with failure. his ability to turn criticism into fuel. his refusal to become comfortable after achieving things most people spend their entire lives dreaming about. his willingness to reinvent himself physically, mentally and professionally. the way he carries himself when the entire world is watching.
n most importantly, he never really had to become someone else to become great.
the hunger. the competitiveness. the obsession with getting better. the willingness to look stupid before looking competent. the belief that your circumstances don’t get to decide the ceiling of your ambition.
even his evolution as a person matters to me. the younger virat taught me aggression. the older virat taught me perspective.
the guy who once wore every emotion on his sleeve gradually learnt when to let go, when to walk away and when to protect his peace.
i don’t idolise virat cz he’s perfect.
i embrace him cz watching him grow has genuinely made me think about the kind of person i want to become.
n if that’s not what having a sporting idol is supposed to mean, idk what is.

Replying to @GnaniAi
everyone shifting to a new city with a diff language pay attention
india has a founder problem on youtube not a shortage of founders, but a shortage of founders telling their stories.
we're building ambitious companies, yet so much of the real journey stays behind closed doors.
the decisions, failures, pivots n lessons are content in themselves.
@nikhilkamathcio is a prime example of how founder led content can build exponential trust by sharing ideas n perspectives at scale.
