When writing Birth of a Culture, my new memoir and account of Hip Hop’s beginnings, it was extremely important to include the story of how others were inspired by Hip Hop…. here’s part one of who you can read about in the book. Later I’ll share some names that played a role in its beginnings, those you know and those whose names got lost in history. #GrandmasterFlash #BirthofaCulture

Cool seeing Ray Keith and A Guy Called Gerald at the One Love fest near Lewes last night - rk started with some mad slower blends then got into some crunchy jump up/jungle/old classics - agcg was all on hardware, breakbeat science built into gradually changing loops, quality 🔥
