What's the requirement?
80 hours a month of work, school, training, or volunteering.
Or about $580 a month in earnings.
Parents of kids under 14? Exempt.
Pregnant women? Exempt.
And for all of 2027, you can self-report.
No pay stubs. No proof. Just say it.
So why would 200,000 people lose coverage?
The state's own analysis says it: red tape.
Paperwork. Missed notices. Renewals that fall through the cracks.
Who runs the paperwork?
Olympia.
Now look at what Olympia chose to fund.
Apple Health for adults here illegally. 100% state dollars.
About $150 million, kept in the budget during a $16 billion deficit.
Gender transition care. If federal money stops, state money covers it.
Abortion. Covered with state dollars.
So when they say they can't protect working families' coverage, remember what they paid for first.
Not just a spending problem.
A priorities problem.
Audit before ask.

Starting on January 1st, more than 600,000 Washingtonians will be subject to work requirements for the first time in order to keep their Apple Health coverage. These individuals will also be required to reapply twice as frequently.
We're leading the nation with our work on an automated verification hub. That will help 400,000 Washingtonians stay covered.

• Look out for communications, including mail, from Apple Health

ISLAM strikes again! Tyson Michael Goodsell, a 17 year old football player at Mankato West High School, was shot in the head and killed by Somali Muslim suspects during a planned robbery in North Mankato, Minnesota.

Police responded to reports of gunfire late on May 23, 2026, and found Goodsell inside a vehicle that had crashed into a townhouse with a fatal gunshot wound to the head.

The meeting was arranged under the pretense of selling THC cartridges, but court documents show the suspects intended to rob him.

Abdikhadar Fakhi Mohidin admitted to investigators that he approached the car with a rifle, and after Goodsell tried to drive away and ran over his foot he fired multiple shots.

Other charged suspects including Ahmed Fuad Mohamud and Ahmed Mohamed Mohamud, whose names indicate Somali Muslim backgrounds, faced robbery and conspiracy counts tied to the same plot.

I can’t stop crying… Rwandan migrant Emmanuel Abayisenga remained illegally in France despite rejected asylum claims and a deportation order.

Congresswoman Priya Jayapal has been relieved of her spot on the House Ways and Means Committee after Speaker Mike Johnson's office announced that she has been using the committee to illegally lobby funds for Democrats.
"Representative Jayapal regularly moves to shift taxpayer money from the private sector to companies owned by Democrats engaging in socialist practices," read a statement from Johnson. "Her continued presence on the committee is an affront to the people who elected her."
Jayapal says she'll appeal the decision.

BREAKING: ANOTHER SHOOTER ON THE LOOSE IN SEATTLE
At about 10:10 p.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting at Rainier Avenue South and South Holden Street. Officers arrived and found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. A 26-year-old man had a gunshot wound to his wrist, and a 33-year-old man had a gunshot wound to his leg.
Officers provided aid until Seattle Fire Department medics arrived. Both victims were transported to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation revealed an altercation between the victims and the suspect began on a Metro coach bus and continued as they exited. Shortly afterwards, the suspect shot both victims and left westbound on South Holden Street.
Officers, with the assistance of the K9 Unit, searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
Detectives with the Gun Violence Reduction Unit are investigating and working to determine what led up to the shooting.

Taxpayers are on the hook for $23.2 Million dollars after the Peninsula School District (Gig Harbor) settled with victims of a former teacher, who was recently sentenced to 66 yrs for child molestation. School officials had ignored complaints and warning signs about the now convicted predator for at least 5 years, hence the lawsuit settlements.
What is not clear is WHY they ignored these complaints, and if any criminal action will be taken against the mandatory reporters who failed to report.
