In our recent #LifeSkills poll, creative thinking came out on top with 33.9% of responses, ahead of problem-solving (32.3%), self-awareness (24.2%), and collaboration (9.7%).
Encouragingly, parents do not need special materials to nurture creative thinking. Everyday stories, chores, discarded boxes, bottle tops, and simple household problems can all give children the space to imagine, experiment, and discover different ways of doing things.
We thank you for this feedback.

I've been following a recent report on Uganda's research-to-industry gap, and it echoes exactly what I've been arguing in a recent thread on the PhD debate.
The numbers are sobering. Uganda is targeting a $700B economy by 2040, backed by six of Africa's top 15 universities and an estimated $150B generated through university research. Yet less than 5% of that research output is ever commercialised, and 80-90% doesn't even respond to industry's actual needs.

It depends on access, financing, quality, coordination and social dialogue — the things that make learning possible in practice.
