Am I the only one who can’t find the β€œX” to get out of something on X anymore? πŸ˜‚ Why did they move it to the middle of the page? I swear I spend more time trying to close things than actually reading them! 🀣

With all the preservatives they probably didn’t need a resealable bag.
Cheerios is boldly going where no cereal has gone before: a resealable Ziploc bag. The option will be available on Original and Honey Nut Cheerios beginning Tuesday, online at Walmart, before rolling out to retailers nationwide in the coming months. wapo.st/4ibAkPi

Our guests unload the dishwasher and leave everything spotless. Those are the guests we want back! Yes, we charge a cleaning fee, but that covers laundry, making beds, bathrooms, and vacuuming; not cleaning up trash and messes left behind. 😊

If a conservative can’t see the TV, he moves to a different seat. If a liberal can’t see the TV, he demands you move. 🀣
If you ever wondered which side of the fence you sit on, this is a great test! If a Conservative doesn't like guns, he doesn't buy one. If a Liberal doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed. If a Conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn't eat meat. If a Liberal is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone. If a Conservative is homosexual, he quietly leads his life. If a Liberal is homosexual, he demands legislated respect. If a Conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation. A Liberal wonders who is going to take care of him. If a Conservative doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels. Liberals demand that those they don't like be shut down. If a Conservative is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church. A Liberal non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced. If a Conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it. A Liberal demands that the rest of us pay for his. If a Conservative reads this, he'll forward it so his friends can have a good laugh. A Liberal will delete it because he's "offended".

Guess who won’t be using @Airbnb next year? πŸ™‹β€β™€οΈ If hosts can’t require guests to do basic checkout chores, fine; but expect cleaning fees to go UP to cover the extra labor. Guests will pay either way. You can’t have it both ways. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

I'm a Board Certified anesthesiologist and have been in practice for 24 years. I just learned that the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where I trained has launched a program to increase flu vaccine uptake among children by vaccinating them while under anesthesia. The program is called "Close your Eyes. We'll Immunize" This is stunningly irresponsible. Here's why: Anesthetists are extremely risk avoidant and endeavor to minimize patient exposure to anything which carries potential side effects. This is particularly true of pediatric patients who very often have never been exposed to anesthetic medications. We simply cannot know how an individual child will respond to these drugs for the first time. Every single medication we administer during an operation can potentially trigger untoward or allergic responses. When this occurs our primary responsibility is to stabilize the patient. Our secondary responsibility is to identify the offending agent. There is absolutely no justification of introducing another agent, in this case a flu vaccine, which carries a risk of harm and contributes nothing to the success of the operation. Some of the more common side effects of flu vaccines are fever (11-16%) and less commonly, a rash (1%). There is also an non-zero risk of severe allergic reactions and high-grade fevers which can develop over the course of minutes. What if a child under anesthesia receives a vaccine and develops a rash and/or fever? Is it from the antibiotic that the surgeon requested? Is it from the narcotic? The anxiolytic? The barbiturate? Anesthetic gases can also (rarely) trigger a life threatening response called Malignant Hyperthermia which commonly presents as a high fever. Without subsequent testing we cannot know which agent was responsible. Most commonly the testing is never done and the child’s record will forever reflect the possibility that some or all of the drugs which were used are responsible for their reaction. This makes future anesthetic care significantly more challenging and will require the use of alternatives which may not be necessary. Advocating for a flu vaccine while a child is anesthetized reflects the pervasive yet inaccurate attitude among the medical establishment that vaccines are perfectly safe. I simply cannot believe that my mentors would have ever supported this initiative when I was a resident there. Close your eyes indeed.

I’ve been switching back and forth for about a year now and I keep getting bigger and BIGGER! 😭
I built a career on keto and I'll say it plainly: staying in ketosis forever is a mistake for most people. Ketosis is a tool, not an address. The goal was never to burn fat exclusively β€” it was to be able to switch. Burn fat when there's no food. Handle carbs when there is. That flexibility is the actual outcome. Permanent restriction is just a different cage. Not medical advice.

I've been unfair to vegetables. Six years into carnivore, I can admit they are extremely good for you. The trouble is that almost nobody prepares them properly. Steaming doesn't do it. Roasting doesn't do it. A smoothie is just an assault. A plant is a locked box, built by something that did not want to be eaten, and a kitchen cannot open it. The correct method: - Take 25 tonnes of mixed greens, raw - Chew each mouthful forty times, then bring it back up and do it again - Ferment at 39 degrees, sealed, for two days - Strain off the oxalates, the lectins and the roughage - Reduce slowly over two years - Rest, then sear in butter Makes about 250 kilos. It is a lot of work, so I have somebody in. He does it standing in a field.

We were there to celebrate and enjoy the wine, not listen to political commentary. Disappointing, to say the least! Might have to hit another one up today for a better experience. 🀣
