Rest in peace, Sir Patrick Stewart. 🐾 The world knew him as Captain Picard and Professor X. Dog lovers also knew him as a devoted foster dad and a champion for pit bulls. In 2017, he and his wife, Sunny Ozell, opened their home to Ginger, a pit bull in need, through the LA rescue Wags and Walks. He spoke openly about how fostering changed the way he saw these misunderstood dogs, and he used his voice to help fight dogfighting and breed stereotypes. Thank you for showing so many people what a rescue dog can do for a heart. Our hearts are with Sunny, his family and everyone who loved him. 💙 #SirPatrick #StarTrek #DOGTV

Artist David Hockney’s relationship with his two beloved dachshunds, Stanley and Boodgie, represents one of the most deeply personal and enduring chapters of his artistic career. First introduced to the breed by a friend in the 1980s, Hockney found immense solace and companionship in his dogs during a period heavily marked by the profound loss of close friends. Over the course of his career, they shifted from loyal companions to central muses, immortalized in dozens of vibrant paintings, drawings, and monochrome etchings. This week, "Dog Painting 17" will be headed to auction at Christie's London. #DavidHockney #DogPainting #DogArt #DOGTV

Important reminder from the Wild Tails crew: your dog doesn’t necessarily need their teeth to eat. They DO need a proper dental cleaning. 🧡 And if a van ever pulls up offering anesthesia-free dental cleanings... run. Just go to the vet the first time and save everyone the trouble. 🐾 Watch the full episode at watch.dogtv.com! #VetTechLife #VetTech #WildTails #DOGTV
