Players & coaches leaving before the alma mater?!
Hey @coach_bnapier, @MattRoanAD, & @JMUPresidentJim, this is indefensible and NOT “The Standard.” Representing @JMU means respecting the university, its traditions, and the fans who support it. This needs to change. @JMUFootball
Of everything that went wrong last night, the most upsetting thing was the team not staying for the alma mater.
I know it’s the NIL and portal era but can y’all at least pretend to care about the institution you play for.
Why should I give a damn about y’all when you do that.
Hard at work uno reversing the evil forces on this gameday
We will continue to cast out any darkness that has befallen our beloved Dukes!!!
If anyone is getting to Harrisonburg a little early on Thursday, I’ll be hosting a midday séance at my usual spot at VMP to ward off any evil that may be left over from last week.
Stop on by so we may insure any curse is been rid of once and for all.

I can still remember our first home SBC series win, GA State pulled an outfielder into the infield with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 9th only to hit Jaylon Lee to end the game. And of course the Jason Schiavone grand slam down 3-0 the following game. Happy Gameday!!!

I turned down Virginia Tech and George Mason Honors to attend JMU and it led me to eventually pursue my JD and helped assist me acquire a SSA Clearance for my current position .. in an unstable climate for higher education, JMU is thriving while other universities are struggling
I’m doing this in a thread because I want to do this as respectfully as possible and I need more than 240 letters to do it.
You essentially said JMU’s undergraduate success did not matter at all in determining its academic success relative to other Sun Belt institutions.
I have recently become the target—not the victim—of what is often called cybermobbing.
Mobbing is a form of collective bullying in which a group repeatedly targets one person through ridicule, harassment, intimidation, social pressure, or coordinated efforts to discredit, isolate, or silence them. Online, it can take the form of pile-ons, repeated personal attacks, mockery, dogpiling, and attempts to overwhelm someone simply for expressing an unpopular opinion.
There is an important distinction between being a target and being a victim.
I have been bullied at different points throughout my life, and I have yet to meet the individual, group, or organization capable of intimidating me into silence when I believe something needs to be said—or when I believe people, institutions, or ideas I care about need defending.
Some of the people I have confronted over the years have been far more powerful than me. Some were smarter than me. Some occupied positions that gave them considerably more influence and authority than I had. A few were genuinely dangerous.
I spoke anyway.
So, with all due respect, a crowd of angry JMU fans on social media does not particularly concern me.
People are free to disagree with me. They are free to challenge my facts, question my reasoning, or make a stronger argument. In fact, I welcome that. Good debate requires disagreement.
But ridicule, personal attacks, pile-ons, and attempts to intimidate someone into silence are not arguments.
I won't stop speaking because a crowd gets loud or because several of you sit at home and post while I am at work or taking care of other responsibilities.
If I am wrong, show me where I am wrong.
If my facts are incorrect, correct them.
If my reasoning is flawed, dismantle it.
But if the objective is to bully me into stopping, history suggests that will be a very unsuccessful strategy.
I will continue to speak what I believe to be true, defend the people and ideas I hold dear, and change my position when the evidence—not the mob—gives me reason to do so.
I mean no ill will to you with this thread, genuinely, this is just how I’m laying down my position on this debate that I feel needs to end.
