I'm not scared of a Terminator like scenario even tho I like to joke about it sometime but what I'm definitely scared of is the current concentration of power on who currently owns the means of computation, the only real future for humanity imo is one where AI is free and local

everyone is mad about his opinion, but look at shenzhen. why do they have a thriving hardware industry that generates interesting products from proximity between factories and workers while america, which outsourced the industry to them, has none of that capability left?
