The BBC reports the court heard that, in videos referring to Muslims, Heggie said “young white girls are being raped by these grooming gangs.” The judge called the comments ill-informed and potentially dangerous, and said he wanted them heard by many. He pleaded guilty to sending a grossly offensive communication. Britain has spent years documenting grooming-gang cases. He still went to jail for saying it out loud.
