My suggestion for changing the name of the Washington Redskins is to make it the Washington Warriors.

It looks like a pen and ink drawing.
👓 One of the main streets in the Old Town of Stockholm today. Normally this street is crowded on Easter Sunday. No lockdown, no people. #COVID19 #alexnote #corona

Mr. Flora and Fauna journalism brought the common and uncommon plants and animals of the Lowcountry to readers’ doorsteps in words that helped them cherish them.
Bo Petersen, one of my favorite people and a prolific environmental reporter, retired from @postandcourier today. With the pandemic, there were few here to congratulate him on his career. If you know this fine fellow, help me with a sendoff. #chsnews

Nice job Joseph in exposing high flying on the public dime!
A Charleston judge crisscrossed the nation for trips to beach & mountain resorts and flew first class, all on the public's dime. After @postandcourier questioned the expenses, the county revoked the judge's spending card and launched an investigation. postandcourier.com/news/char…

Yea for now!
One step at a time. The Oregon Senate voted 29-0 today to change state law to make the public records advocate and the council independent. (SB 1506 for those eager to read.) A strong vote for govt transparency. Next up: House hearings, vote. #FOIA #Openrecords
You’ve been going into entirely too many Post game locker rooms.
I cannot stress enough how great the hand lotion in Clemson BOT restrooms smells

Still, it would be interesting to know how much pollutant is left in the water after they install the temporary filters. Look how long it took the state to do even this. It’s shocking how little the state of SC cares about its poorest residents, from health care to education.
Replying to @dpardue1
That’s probably a good question. I’ve been told by several people before that it’s enough to significant reduce how much PFOS and PFOA is in the water. It’s not likely to be a long term solution however.

The P&C should test to see if the carbon filters actually work on those chemicals.
Update to the story yesterday. SC health officials are now passing out carbon filters to roughly 100 homes at the Crescent Mobile Home Park to temporarily treat for industrial chemicals that were found in the communities drinking water wells. postandcourier.com/news/stat…

One of the reasons I love investigative reporting instead of this sort - As an investigative reporter you usually are on your own looking into something unseen or overlooked by other journalists as they chase the news of the day, which must, of course, be covered.
There are over 20 reporters there all trying to get the same quote. Imagine if those reporting resources were actually spread out across the country to cover other topics and people.
Vote Les!
The check was for $5 with a note: "Thank you for keeping us informed." Another note with a donation for @MalheurNews public records fund: "Please run for office, Les." Um, gee, no thanks..... In a rural poor county, the fund now tops $3K. #FOIA #Publicrecords #Readerengagement
