Im hosting a PhD student from EU for 2.5 months this Fall. He is paid from his uni. He needs a tier 5 visa but UCL has finished its quota and he has to wait (can be expedited paying). REALLY? Is this bureaucracy needed to host talented minds (2.5 months) at no cost for the UK?
